Mark Whyte Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

My first impression of Dr. Whyte was that he looked too young to have enough experience for this type of surgery. However, as we talked during my first consultation, I realized that he seemed to be very knowledgable after all, and I felt more comfortable with him performing my surgery. His staff was very friendly and very helpful every time I had an appointment. I was very dissapointed to find out that he had left the hospital and had continued his practice at another out-of-state location. I will miss his soothing bedside manner. I will rate him high on an overall scale for knowledge, caring, and competence, which are qualities I feel are very important in a doctor that specializes in this type of surgery. However, I was disappointed that his staff did not follow up on my progress and weight-loss results several years after my surgery. I think this would be excellent information to gouge the long-run success or failure of gastric bypass surgery.

I met Dr. Whyte at a group "doctor talk" on Monday. He was full of information and has a dry sense of humor. I feel comfortable so far with him. I have one-on-one consultation with him next month. So far the office staff has been very friendly and responsive but I'm just getting started so we'll see.

Had my surgery on 12/2/04. Everything went smoothly. Dr. Whyte came to see me everyday in the hospital. I felt very comfortable and confident having him as my surgeon.

All I have to say is that my mother and I were very impressed with Dr. Whyte from the minute we met with him. I felt completely assured that everything was going to be alright. He was very attentive and he made me feel very secure and safe. I strongly recommend him and the staff at LivLite.

My impression of Dr. Whyte is that he has a great sense of humor. He is very imformed and was very straight foward when it came to the risks.

Dr. Whyte was open and honest about everything, trust me he didn't sugar coat one thing he wanted to make sure that
knew all the ups and downs about the surgery.

Dr. Whyte is very quiet, but confident. I felt very comfortable with him. He was very caring and spent plenty of time with me explaining every thing. My surgery went very well. In the hospital Dr. Whyte came to see me almost every day. I felt that Dr. Whyte took a personal interest in how I felt and how I was doing. Not all surgeons come and visit every day like that; many choose to send a P.A. I am almost 3 weeks post op and feel very good. The staff at Lite Dimensions were happy and polite. They set up all my pre-op appts and made sure that all the paper work was done. They have worked very hard to make sure that my appt times were convenient for me and when I have been early for my appts (I live about 2hours away) they have done there best to get me in early. I have already been back for one post op appt with Dr. Whyte and am scheduled for another in a month. Aftercare seems to be very important to Dr. Whyte.

Dr. Whyte was very nice, But very informative. He was really real about letting me know all that I was going to have to look foward to and not hidding what could go wrong.. But I felt very confident that he is very knowledgable on what he needs to do..Dr . Whyte. made me feel like he was really sincere. I look foward to this surgery.
