Matt Bosquez Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I met Dr Bosquez and Dr. Gorospe and June, i was very impressed with both, the office staff seems so nice, and wants to help. i havent really talked with him yet about the surgery, just the original consiltation.

I chose to have the open Roux-En-Y procedure with Dr. luis Gorospe here in Tulsa where I live. His office has been wonderfully patient and informative, and yet I know they are extremely busy. They have basically walked me through the entire process with Ins, PCP, etc. The more I learned, the more I realized Dr, Gorospe had the experience I wanted. I attended my frist group informational meeting with others wanting the surgery, and Dr. Gorospe and his partner, Dr. Matt Bosquez, were there at the meeting. They were both warm, personable men, with a wealth of information. They took the time to answer any and all questions. They also met individually with every one of us in the office. I set my date for surgery, asking for the first open date. The surgeon who will be doing my procedure is Dr. Matt Bosquez, and I am confident that I am in good hands! I will let you know more later.

I was very impressed with him the first time I met him. He is the other Dr. in the office with Dr. Gorospe. From a first impression they both seem equally capabile. He is a very nice man. He seems to be very understanding to the needs of the obese. I would recommend him.

Dr. Bosquez and Dr. Garospe where both very informal and nice I have alot about both of them. The office staff were very nice and very busy, but thats to be expected w the great gift they're providing overweight people with.

Dr. Bosquez seems to be very kind and sincere. The office staff seems nice but overworked...The office is way to small and it feels up very quickly.

I felt Dr. Bosquez is a quiet, reserved, and skilled surgeon. When he was explaining the surgery, I felt he did an excellent job describing it. He answered every question I could think of, without me asking. Dr. Bosquez and Dr. Gorospe's staff seem to be extremely friendly, but unbelievably busy. I feel the aftercare is outstanding. They have a huge monthly support group. The two times I have attended, approximately 50 - 60 post-op patients attended. Some share their experiences, and others are more than willing to answer any questions people have. I have not heard one person complain about problems with the surgeon. I know that doesn't mean everyone has had a perfect experience, but it makes me feel more secure about my choices. Members of the post-op group also visit the new patients while they are in the hospital to give support and advice. Dr. Gorospe and Dr. Bosquez are up front about the risks of the surgery and they have you compare them with the risks of being obese. I appreciate their honesty about the open verses the laproscopic. My impression is that they are more comfortable doing the open, so I chose the open.

Post-op:
Dr. Bosquez is wonderful!!! He called me the night before my surgery, he visited with me and my family as I was being prepped for surgery, and he visited with my family after the surgery. He even noticed a cyst on one of my ovaries, which he determined was benign. He told my family about it, and calmed their fears by letting them know it was common for women my age, and would probably take care of itself. He also visited me everyday while in the hospital, except for my day of discharge, which he told me ahead of time that he would not be there that day. My incision looks wonderful! I am extremely happy with Dr. Bosquez's bed-side manner and concern for his patients!

I thought that Dr. Bosquez and Dr. Gorospe were very professional and well educated. They both took time to explain the procedure and what to expect. I think Dr. Bosquez is doing my surgery. I was very impressed with both doctors.

The entire staff at Dr. Gorospe & Dr. Bosquez's office is fantastic!! Very professional, helpful, caring, and easy to talk to. I had my consultation in March and was very impressed with Dr. Bosquez's intense knowledge of the surgery, complications, other procedures and results, and personal aspects of losing the weight, not just the medical side of this journey. He has a great personality and appears to genuninely care about the process each patient will be going thru before, during and after the surgery.

DR. Matt Bosquez. I liked him instantly when I met him. He never said he was a christian, and neither did any one else, but my spirit knew. He was gentle and kind. I met him at Dr Gorospe's Support group. he is Dr Gorospe's new partner. most PEOPLE WANTED Dr Gorospe since he has done over 4.000 surgeries, but Dr Bosquez has been a surgeon for many years and Dr. Gorospe trained him and I trust Dr. Gorose's choice in a partner. i just knew when I met him he would do my surgery. I went through such a hard time getting approved, changing insurance companies and geting denied two days before my surgery. Appealing it and winning and being approved only to be told I had breast cancer and that battle.I only wanted Dr Bosquez and Dr. Gorospe as my surgeons no matter what kind of surgery I was having. I trust DR's Bosquez and Gorospe with my life no matter what the situation. Both of them are great men dedicated to their professions and to the bariatric suegery. I am having gastirc bypass surgery open rny and a lumpetomy at the same time and will come through it with my great surgeons.

When I first met Dr. M. Bosquez, he put me at ease. He was very kind and comassionate. I feel like I don't have to worry about a thing now, he is going to help me help myself. I am very excited and a little nervous. I took along an LPN and an RN with me to the initial consultation, and myself being an LPN, I am very confident that this is the best thing for me and i feel safe doing it. The office staff are very nice, as with any office they are busy, this has to be a sign of good going on!! I called my insurance company today and they say they do have my pre authorization letter, and are sending it on to medical review, that it should take a couple more weeks for this. ( I hope no longer!!!)
