Dr. Christopherson is the bomb! I needed a surgeon who would patiently deal with my questions, doubts, and fears and he proved to be quite worthy and capable of doing it all to my fullest satisfaction. While I initially found the pre-surgical process with the Nutritionist, Psychologist, Pharmacist, and Physical Therapist to be laborious and confounding, in the long run it was exactly what I needed to become fully aware of what I was getting into, and how they would assist me from start to finish and beyond.

The aftercare has been equally thorough and supportive. I have taken advantage of the monthly support group as well as finding support on Obesity Help and through Facebook groups. Eleven months out I have reached my goal. I am cautiously optimistic and a wee bit nervous about maintaining my loss and finding a safe comfortable weight to land at.

I do not have any concerns or hesitations regarding Dr. Christopherson or the Genesis Center for Weight Management. Both he and the center have provided a level of care that I wish EVERYONE in the weight-loss community could experience. There are some nightmarish practitioners out there who could learn a lot from Dr. Christopherson.

He is wonderful..My husband and I both had Lap RNY performed by him and we were very pleased. He has wonderful bedside manner in and out of the hospital. The office staff just as nice and helpful. He expects you to be working the program fully before surgery and supports you in doing so. He has a great support staff there at the Center and they all give out written information so you dont have to remember everything they tell you. The aftercare is just as important to them and they follow you very closely. Your allowed to come in and be weighed at times other then your appointments. He was very open and honest with me about the risks of surgery and of having an open vs a lap and what would cause him to have to do that. Giving me percentages of how many of his patients had suffered from the possible complications. He is a very competent doctor who really loves his work and it shows. I know this sounds like too glowing of a report, but we really dont have anything negative to say about our expirence with the Bariatric Center or Dr. Christopherson. I would tell anyone and everyone that your in the best hands with him and his staff. Thank you to them for taking such wonderful and continuted care of my husband and I.

Dr. Christopherson is an awesome surgeon and is very supportive during you journey from deciding to move forward with weight loss surgery to the time that you actually have it done. He is also very much into the follow up aspect and wants you to continue to follow up with him in the years to come. His staff is wonderful to work with and very helpful. I would recommend him 100%.

The Center for Bariatric Surgery at Genesis in Davenport is top-notch. The program receives consistently high marks for its comprehensive program, which is facilitated by caring, extremely competent surgeons, and dedicated staff who work together as a TEAM! The multi-disciplinary approach for total care of the patient is at the heart of the program. Dr. Christopherson has provided me with only the best of care. I appreciated his warmth, knowledge, skill, sense of humor, and his consistent support and care. Dr. C’s leadership and professionalism is seen and experienced through all who are a part of his team, and thus the patient receives the benefits in outstanding surgical care and follow-up.

My first impression of Dr. Christophersen was that he was young enough to know about new technologies and practices, yet old enough to carry some experience under his belt. rnI think the his best asset is the rest of the staff in the bariatric center- they are awesome! I like that everyone is available via e-mail. I had complications at one month out, and was visited by each of the surgeons during my stay in the hospital. They were all fantastic.

Dr Christopherson is fantastic. The staff is just as wonderful. Everyone made me feel comfortable and cared for. Aftercare is important. I am going to my yearly checkup in just a few more days. I did have complications due to other preexisting health promblems and Dr and staff took great care of me. I would give Dr C an A+ in surgical competence and bedside manner. The staff was equally competent and caring. This surgery has given me back a life that I thought was gone forever and I will be indebted to them forever for doing so.

Dr. Christopherson is a very down-to-earth guy who makes you feel at ease. He is empathetic toward people of size and is an excellent surgeon.rnHis staff treated me with respect and courtesy and was very accomodating.rnGenesis offers a 1 year aftercare program and it is emphasized at every opportunity.rnHe presented me with the risks of surgery and then offered his statistics on complications in his firm's patients.rnI would rate him very high.rnBedside manner and competence are both extremely important to me.

I have not had surgery yet but will answer the questions as best I can at this point.rnrnDr Christopherson is highly regarded at Genesis and with his former patients. He is very kind, has a good sense of humor, and is easy to talk to.rnrnThe office staff is wonderful. I have never been in a Dr's office where the staff is so organized and concerned with the patient. It is a very structured process in getting the preliminary things done in this office.rnrnIf I had to say something I didn't like about the office in general is that when I first met with Dr. C, I knew I was going to be examined but had no idea to that extent. Not that it was anything out of the ordinary but I like to mentally prepare myself for a rectal exam. rnrnThe aftercare is very structured and you are completely aware of it before surgery.rnrnAll risks have been discussed in depth and again, you are completely aware before surgery.rnrnI think very highly of Dr. Christopherson and the whole staff at the Bariatric Center at Genesis. On a scale of 1-10, so far, I give a 10. rnrnrnrn
