He was fantabulous! I love his sense of humor and humility. He's professional and personable. He doesn't talk to you like your a patient, more like you're family. He's very honest and upfront. I was very comfortable talking to him. I love him! You can tell he really loves helping people. I really can't say enough about him! Also, all the staff at the Center for Bariatric Surgery are great! I actually enjoy going there!

Dr. Christophersen is a very nice guy, very personable, willing to answer questions, very laid back. He spent a 1/2 more with me than was scheduled to talk and make sure all my questions were answered. He also has a great sense of humor. He was very to the point about risks and aftercare instructions. Was flexible in trying to find a surgery date that would work out for me. I would give him a 9.9 out of 10 overall, he is great!

'Dr. C is a wonderful surgeon who really knows what he is doing. In my inital visits he spoke with me for as long as I needed and was willing to go into detail about his experience and qualifications to put my mind at ease. The staff at the Bariatric clinic was amazing and whatever questions and concerns I had they were always answered with understanding and patience. I did have a stricture following surgery and Dr. C and the staff at the clinic handled it smoothly

Dr. Christopherson is a young, dynamic doc who is committed to bringing health to those of us suffering from obesity.

He has been honest, thorough and caring!! His staff is out of this world - I have had counciling, nutritional therapy, access to experts - and now have a surgeon on call 24-7. He was always on time, never wasted my time or his own - yet answered all my questions, no matter how ignorant they've been.

Aftercare and nutritional support is the cornerstone of what they're doing at CBS. Those who come to appointments and stick to the program succeed in spades!

Risks were never, ever soft-pedalled. I expected a lot more pain and discomfort, I expected all kinds of problems - yet I'm feeling fine. I had one bad day since I got home, to which I called in. They had my vitals checked and blood work done, just in case - and all is well. I can't imagine having gone through this with any other group or surgeon.

I can't recommend Center for Bariatric Surgery at Genesis in Davenport, Iowa ENOUGH!!!

The only problems I had were, naturally, the insurance companies. I have been on disability since 1993, with Medicare as primary coverage. Once diagnosed with Apena, they were no longer an issue. But it left about $1600 out of pocket. I finally was able to get Iowa Medicaid to help, but they denied me twice. It was agonizing jumping through hoops and getting them on board. I've paid out $599 now, and am waiting to see what of that I may get back. But CBS staff was fantastic about it, and worked hard to get medicaid straightened out - including faxing every page of my rather LARGE file from the general practitioner's to the state!

Dr. Christopherson was absolutely wonderful.
He made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. He is very down to earth, very intelligent, very easy to talk to, very thorough in his preparation of your health prior to surgery. I could not have asked for a better doctor. Dr. Christopherson is very passionate about his position as the Medical Director of the Bariatric Program at Genesis in Davenport. He believes in what he is doing and it shows.

He was so kind, helpful and down to earth; I felt comfortable right away.
He obviously has both surgical competence and a good bedside manner, both which are important.
The entire program at Genesis was postive and supportive and educational. I am glad the Bariatric Center is located where I live so I didn't have to travel.

I don't have anything negative to say about Dr. Christopherson or his staff.....my entire experience has been thorough and very easy to navigate. I think it helps that I researched every aspect of surgery and was very well prepared for everything.

The best doctor I've run into. He was compassionate and caring yet professional. He's one of the youngest surgeons in the area and works hard to be the best. He has a very down to earth attitude and sincerely cares about his patients. It was unlike most doctors that I've had to deal with.

That he was very knowlegable and made me feel comfortable. Even though i disagreed with his approach to me on one occasion he was willing to talk about it and resolve the issue. HE IS VERY CAREFUL AND MAKES SURE YOU ARE PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY PREPARED FOR SURGERY. The staff are very friendly and supportive and encouraging to all the patients from Terrie the receptionist to Theresa the office nurse all have a friendly attitude I am a nurse and highly recomend this program to others.
Dr Christopherson wants you tobe serious and maintain your weight or be loising while awaiting surgery. After care and support group strongly supported pre/post op. The program is highly structured with psycologist, dietician, physical therapist, surgon, support group. The risks were adressed in information metting prior to clinic exposure, during office vist, preop vists, copy of risk factors given to be ead and signed one week preop. I received excellant care and have highly recomened the surgeopon and the clinic. I think it needs to be a cobination of bed side manner and competence to make the perspective patient comfortable.

Dr Christopherson was very caring and a great man. He made me feel very comfortable, especially since I was not the typical weight loss patient. (my BMI was 36 but had several other comorbid that qualified me) The office staff, Terri and Theresea were always there no matter what the question or concern they took time to make sure you are always comfortable with the answer.

Patients should know that Dr Christopherson is about total care. He does not just focus on the surgery then leave the patient but there is a full program to follow afterward. In fact, that is almost to structured for my liking.

Dr does a great review of what to expect from the surgery including all the risks.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate him a 9.

He is a great all around physician.
