My impression of him was him is awesome good bedside manner, really cares very rare or a dr IMO. The staff is so friendly I am a joker and they seem to think I am too funny (helps me not be so nervous)Future patients should know they are going with the best so he wants the best or you before and after surgery. So he has a strict aftercare program that has to be followed! I would give him 100 stars. All aspects of his care is tops!

My DR. answered all my questions, and has good bedside manner too. He is not so hard on the eyes either. rn

I have known Dr. St. Laurent for the past five years, as he removed my ruptured appendix on an emergency basis when I was 6 months pregnant. He also removed my gallbladder and assisted with my hysterectomy. As I was searching for a bariatric surgeon, I ran across Dr. St. Laurent's bariatric web page and was immediately sold!! He is absolutely one of the BEST surgeons in the field. He began as a general surgeon and now deals only in bariatrics.

His office staff is the most patient group of people I know and follow up with all that is required of them without hesitation.

Dr. St. Laurent is the Briatric Medical Director for both Cyfair Hospital and Journeylite of Houston. He also teaches the performance of different procedures laprescopically. He is awesome! He explains in detail what to expect from the beginning to the end. I have contacted his office twice with questions and have spoken to him personally on each occasion.

On a scale of 1-10, I would definately rate Dr. St. Laurent a 10 plus!

I believe surgical competence and bedside manner are both great and I can assure you that he has BOTH!

Dr. St. Laurent is one of the most caring, well-trained, knowledgeable surgeons I have ever met. He cares about his patients and their health and will do anything to help you through the big decision of having weight loss surgery. He fully explains the complications of the surgery in terms that you can understand and lays it all out on the line how it is. He is very straight forward and stresses how important the aftercare maintenance of the surgery is in helping you to loose weight. He highly encourages you to visit with the nutritionist and ask any questions after the surgery. His staff is wonderful, always eager to help you in any way they can and answer your questions. I would certainly recommend Dr. St. Laurent to any one interested in weight loss surgery and encourage them to attend one of his very informative WLS seminars (which is a required step of Dr. St. laurent's in having the WLS).

I went in for a revisional RNY from a banded gastroplasty I had 12 years ago. Dr. St. Laurent was great. He was extremely confident and professional. His staff worked hard to get my approval with my insurance, although it was \"out-of-network.\" His office is extremly busy and can sometimes get kind of hectic. He does excellent work and I had no problems with my surgery. I did get VERY sick afterwards and he took excellent care of me. He doesn't have much of an aftercare program. I would prefer a support group but he does require that you follow up with him every 3 months and also with a nutritionist. He did explain to me what the risks of surgery were especially for someone undergoing a revisional surgery like I was. However, he presented himself as confident that he could overcome. He gave me a list of his personal statistics on how he had done with this patients - Never lost a client, Never had one have to go back in to surgery. Overall I would say that he is great, but his staff can get stretched a little thin. They sometimes can confuse times and forget stuff. He has very high expectations from himself and his staff. Dr. St. Laurent has great surgical competence and his bedside manner is fine - Very professional, not touchy feely at all, but still very personable. I would definitely recommend him.

He is more concerned with the patient he is with at that moment instead of hurrying and getting to the next one. I like that in a Surgeon. Altho I did have to waite for my appointment. He is very selective in the patients he will perform surgery on.He will want to see all of your medicale records. Dr. St. Launent wants to have EVERYTHING checked so that the surgery and anesthesia will not cause you more complications. rnI am very confident in him. I honestly feel comfortable with his skills and knowledge.rnrnHis office staff are there for you and make you feel like you are important.rnrnRead up on the different procedures; get your primary care Doc involved, he (Dr. St. Laurent.) specialist there a dietitian and others that he can send you to if you have not already. This is for the conviniece of the out of towners.rnrnIf you can’t follow the aftercare instructions then maybe this is not for you. I mean let’s be realistic, don’t call the Doctor up complaining of a belly ach after eating a hamburger. Cuz his answer will be “what are you doing eating a hamburger?” rnrnDr. St. Laurent will not hold back any punches. He will give you the good the bad and the ugly of this type of surgery.rnIT IS A TOOL YOU STILL HAVE TO WORK AT IT. He is real strict on you following his instructions and the diet information. You still must have will power.rnAt his seminar he will go over the By-Pass surgery and the Lap-Band. He will give you examples of problems and complications, as well as the happy moments. He will answerer any and all of your questions at the seminar and or at your appointment.rnrnSo far I give Dr. St. Laurent a 10rnrnrn

He was very kind and continues to be supportive. (and it helps that he is nice eye candy!) I am very satisfied with my choice of a surgeon.

My first impression of Dr. St. Laurent was gained at the seminar. He is very personable and willing to take time with each patient, answering questions and addressing concerns. He never once talked down or sounded condescending during the seminar.rnA few days later, I had my initial visit at his office and was impressed how comfortable the atmosphere was. His staff is awesome...very friendly and eager to answer questions and help anyway they can. Sandy is awesome and takes the time you need to feel secure in the information you are receiving.rnAt my surgery, Dr. St. Laurent took his time answering questions again, making sure my husband and I were clear on everything that would go on, and once we got in the O.R. I felt that I was in competent hands. His team did their best to set me at ease, trying to make ease my nerves as much as possible. I would recommend This group for anyone in my family or friends that need WLS. You will be in good hands.rn

Dr. St Laurent is actually located In Houston Texas (North Of Houston) I like him because he takes the time to speak with you and answer all of your questions. He does his own fills so you don't have to worry about some PA or nurse poking around in there. It is pretty easy to get an appointment with him. His staff is pretty nice but they don't really have a good policy about calling back right away when you have an issue. I wasn't real impressed with the nutritionist, my appointment was rushed, no time to get answers to my questions and we had several interuptions during our visit. I have only met with her once so far, perhaps it was just a bad day.
