When I met Dr. Muthusamy it was in ER of ConeyIsland Hospital of 11-02 last year. I was being treated for hemoraging which was common I was also in a lot of pain because of injuries I have sustained at a job. The
doctor approached me and asked me if I was interested in having surgery, I was hesitant at first, I mean after all I didnt know this
Dr and he just came up and introduced himself and gave me his card. I had thought about it for a few minutes and told myself
to hear him out. He explained how the surgery
would happen and what it involved, He also told me death was a possible from this surgery and explained all of the complications like dizziness, vomiting possible. Also he explained about dieting and nutrition that I am responsible for my eating in take. He also explained about the after care and had a nurse come check on me
to make sure I was doing well. So far since
my first visit on 11/20/03 6 DAYS AFTER THE SURGERY I have lost 4 pounds Iam feeling great there is no more pain ANYWHERE the inflammation in my back has gone down.
ALL IN ALL I GIVE Dr. Muthusamy a 10 all around for he maid sure all my needs were met and I was well taken care of.
Thank You

I first met Dr Muthusamy while I was at C.I.
in the E.R. for exxcessive bleeding. The surgeon came up to me and ask me if I would be interested in going for a surgery that would help me to lose weight. He described
how the surgery would be done and how long it would take. He was informative and even drew out a map of my stomach and where they would operate. He was honest and straight with me he didnt hold back any information
on wether there would be any discomfort or pain. With any surgey there is always a possibility of death. Also he explained what I would have to do after surgery that I would need to stay in the hospital and I would need to walk to help me from letting my legs go stiff. I would reccomend this surgeon just for the basis on how informative
he is and for the trust he is willing to build with his patients. Coney Island should be commended on having such a profeesional surgeon and staff on their hands.
