GREAT !!!! The most caring person you could ever meet .He is understanding and never has a bad word to say to you and he is always there for you with the best bed side manner you could ever ask for and if someone is looking for the best in Memphis there is no question in my mind who I would want to take care of me.He spends time with you for you are someone to him and that really is hard to find a Doctor of that Kind.He's the best and I look for 3 years .

I chose not to go with Doctor Alston for the skin removal. They would not show me pictures and my insurance would not pay him for he was out of network. So I will now be seeing Dr. George Burruss (Plastic surg.) for the skin removal and he would show pictures of his work. Also I knew his work for he reworked my face from cancer three years ago and done a great job.

Dr Burruss done my surgery on Dec 20th 1999 and done a Great job. He listen to me. For he done extras that I had made comments about that had concerned me . And it is a bikini cut.He will do my hips in about 4 to 6 months to finish the job . For It is a two part surgery. He is just the Greatest and I give him the highest recommendation.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. ALSTON WAS THAT HE WAS HIGHLY INTELLIGENT. I KNEW IMMEDIATELY THAT I TRUSTED HIM AND I WOULD HAVE THE SURGERY DONE.

MY IMPRESSION OF HIM ONLY GOT BETTER. IN ALL MY YEARS I HAVE NEVER KNOWN A DR. TO BE SO CARING AND CONSIDERATE OF YOUR FEELINGS. YOU WOULD THINK THAT YOU WERE HIS ONLY PATIENT. HE IS THE BEST!!!
HIS OFFICE STAFF WAS VERY CONSIDERATE OF MY FEELINGS AND WELL BEING ALSO.
THERE IS NOTHING I LIKED LEAST ABOUT DR. ALSTON. EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM IS WONDERFUL.
IF ANYONE IS CONSIDERING THIS SURGERY, NO MATTER HOW FAR THEY HAVE TO TRAVEL I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. ALSTON IF THEY WANT THE BEST CARE AND BED SIDE MANNER IN THE WORLD.
HIS AFTER CARE IS EXCEPTIONAL. I FEEL VERY SECURE KNOWING I HAVE HIM TO FOLLOW UP WITH.
HE WAS VERY HONEST ABOUT THE RISKS OF SURGERY BUT MADE YOU FEEL VERY MUCH AT EASE. HIS MANNERISMS ARE VERY COMFORTING.

ON A SCALE OF 1 - 10 I RATE DR. ALSTON AN 11.

HIS COMPETENCE AND BEDSIDE MANNER ARE BOTH EXTREMELY RARE AND WONDERFUL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SURGEON.

I loved Dr. Alston. He answered all my questions and let me know what to expect. He office state was also wonderful. Aftercare is a very big area for them and I very good educational materials.

Dr.Alston was a wonderful physician. His nurse was a jewel too. I never once felt uncomfortable or ashamed for being so overweight in his presence.He put you at ease. He has a great bedside manner and as a nurse that was important to me.He as well as his staff are very caring. He was very thorough in making sure that you are aware of what you are doing and that this is not an instant cure. Also that you know all of the side effects. Not to scare you. I never once was scared.His surgical competence and bedside manner are to be commended!!!!!

Dr. Alston, initially, seemed almost TOO
laid back for me. But, after a few visits with him I became a lot more comfortable with his mannerisms. He is extremely competent and knowledgeable about RNY-open. He does NOT do LAP surgery. His fees include 18/mo aftercare with visits every 3 months after the first month of surgery.
