Dr. Rajeev Vohra, Bariatric Surgeon

Rajeev Vohra, MD, FACS is the founder of New York Bariatrics & Laparoscopy, PC, one of the longest-running comprehensive bariatric centers serving the Long Island community. He is also the Director of Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at South Nassau Communities Hospital in New York since 2001. He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. He completed his general surgery residency and advanced laparoscopic training at New York University Medical Center, known for their evidence-based clinical care.

Dr. Vohra is fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the American Board of Surgery (ABS), and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). Dr. Vohra has also served an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
