Weight Loss Surgery with Dr. Washington

What really inspires me is making a difference in other lives. I love to see my patients being able to participate in things, being able to spend more time with their family, running around with their kids...when I can see my patients do that it makes me very excited for them. What called me to medicine was really to seek an opportunity to help others, to seek an opportunity to be at my best. -Dr. Washington

It was baseball and a broken arm that led Dr. Washington to come to know he wanted to become a doctor. He was just 12 years old when he slid into third base causing an injury that would allow him to peek into the life and profession of an orthopedic surgeon. Watching the interactions between the surgeon and his patients was all it took for him to decide he wanted to make people better. He would become a doctor!

Having reached his professional goal of becoming a surgeon, Dr. Washington now leads an expert, interdisciplinary team who provides quality education and support, before and long-term after surgery. Specializing in advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgery, Dr. Washington expertly performs the Roux-en-Y (RNY) and the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG). In addition to weight loss surgery, he performs splenectomies, anti-reflux procedures, colectomy, breast surgery, and endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Washington and his team have established a comprehensive bariatric surgery program .
