Dr. Korn is awesome...he gives it to you straight and to the point, no sugar coating it. He is one that really does care about people and their health. I love him to death!!
Haven't met him yet. His seminar was great. He gives his patients the choise between the RNY and the Lap Band, Yeah!rnrn07/25/07rnWe finally met Dr. Korn and his staff, WOW! We feel very confident with this doctor and his staff. He took time to explaine everything to us. He is also very familiar with the requirements needed for insurance approval and has already laid out a plan for us. We are very happy with this doctor and hope things will go a lot smoother than before.
My mother had her WLS almost 1 year ago. Through her meetings I talked with Dr. Korn on whether he thought it would be good for me or not. He is so nice and put us at ease during my mother's WLS. She was a high risk patient and he was just amazing. He follows up on his patients and wants them to console in him about what they are feeling. Fears, concerns, and joys. I would definately recommend Dr. Korn to anyone in this area who is considering this WLS.
Before even meeting Dr. Korn, I was very apprehensive because I could not find much information about him or his practice online. After finally finding a website that gave more information about Idaho physicians, I went ahead to my appointment feeling more at ease. He was wonderful. I found him very honest, comforting, forthright and sensitive to my situation. He answered my and my husband's questions and put us at ease. He uses the same psychiatrist for all his patients and also has a nutritionist working right in is office that he encourages his patients to utilize. He addressed all the risks that I had already read about. His staff was very kind and caring and did the scheduling for the tests he ordered for me before I left his office. They will set up all my future appointments for me and do all the insurance legwork. They are wonderful!! Just from my initial consultation, I felt very comfortable with him and so did my husband. That is very important for his education about this surgery also. The only negative thing I would say about my whole experience was the lack of information that was available to me before my appointment.
I would recommend anyone in the Boise area to at least have a consult with Dr. Korn. You will warm up to him very quickly.
He is very to the point and double checks everything being running tests to make sure that nothing will go wrong during and after surgery. I am please with him and his staff.
My Dr will be DR Robert Korn, in Boise ID. I have not met him yet, but his office has been very helpful, and I already have my packet of forms...His receptionist tells me that he is very kind, so I'm hopeful that our first meeting on 10-26-04, will go well.
