Roger Fast Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Fast is a kind and competent surgeon. He is very thorough and spent a lot of time with me explaining the benefits and risks of the surgery. His office staff is very friendly and professional. They have a 5 year aftercare program. I feel quite confident putting my life in his hands. (he also removed my gallbladder 6 years ago and has done several abdominal surgeries on my mother).

I really like Dr. Roger Fast. He is a very caring and sincere. He was very informative about the RNY surgery and was very through at going over the details and procedure with me. Dr. Fast did my gallbladder surgery about 5 years ago so I feel very comfortable with him. His surgical competence and his bedside mannerism is great! I would highly recommend him!

My first impression was that I liked him. Dr Fast was wonderful about answering any questions me or my mom who went with me had.
He and his whole staff answered all our questions and had a great attitude. Dr Fast reminds me a lot of a doctor here in my home town that is a great doc so that probably help put me at ease at first. I was impressed with his knowledge, his attitude, his carring, his realistic approach to what to expect and what my responsibilities in this are to be successful.
He gave me credit for knowing what I wanted and that I had been researching it to know this is the right choice for me. I have only met with him for my consult. I will see him for my preop on Feb 11 when I go back down to Fresno, Ca.,
I will update this as I go, I would highly recommend him to anyone at this point. I attend a surgical weight loss support group and we have several members in the group that have had surgery by him and they all have nothing but postives to say about him and his whole staff.

I REALLY LIKE DR. FAST. HE SEEMS VERY KIND, CONSIDERATE AND INFORMATIVE. AND HE LISTENS. TOOK TIME WITH ME ON EACH VISIT TO ANSWER 2-3 PAGES OF QUESTIONS I HAD, AND NEVER RUSHED ME, OR MADE ME FEEL LIKE HE HAD TO HURRY TO ANOTHER PATIENT.
THE OFFICE STAFF IS VERY CONSIDERATE AND HELPFUL, AND FROM INITIAL CONSULTATION TO SURGERY DATE WAS 1 MONTH.
I THINK PART OF THE REASON IT WAS SO QUICK BECAUSE I HAD SPENT THE PREVIOUS 6 MONTHS DOING EVERYTHING THAT WAS REQUIRED BY DR. RABKIN, THEN HE WOULDN'T DO THE SURGERY UNTIL I PAID HIM $12,000.
DR. FAST WAS VERY DETAILED ABOUT MY QUESTIONS OF PROBLEMS RELATED TO SURGERY, AND WHAT TO DO IF I HAVE PROBLEMS AFTER I GET BACK TO MY HOME (OVER 8 HRS AWAY)
LET YOU KNOW MORE AFTER SURGERY.

DR FAST seems to be a great guy he cares about his people. His office staff ar real nice and caring. DR Fast is real big on walking before and after surgery he wants 2 miles a day! I would rate him a 10 in my book of doctors. So far his bed side manner I have no comment yet going to have surgery OCT 16

i have only meet him once he seemed knowledgeable and was pleasant and easy to talk with. I will keep you posted as I learn more about him.
I found the staff at his office ,which is shared by several other docs who do similiar surgery, to be pleasant well informed, and eager to help me. there were some on the staff who had the surgery and were will to tlk about there experience and what you might expect from the surgery and recover. I really apreciated being able to talk with staff who had been there.
also the insurance people on staff in his office were very helpful and new there way around my insurances.
