We meet Dr. Clements Aug. 9th 2012. He seems to have a heart and really cares about his patients. I am very happy that I will be having surgery with him as my doctor, I feel good knowing that I am not just another patient to him. He truly cares about those he is helping! Soon I will be living life, not just walking around in a world of dreams.

Is a very passionate about helping people change and better their lives. He is to the point and very serious about obesity. I would surely recommend him for surgery.

I had my RNY on 08-08-2011. From the beginning Dr. Clements and his staff have been exceptional. He answers all your questions and shoots straight forward with what to expect. I would recommend Dr. Clments and the Vanderbilt Center For Bariatric Surgery to anyone considering this type of surgery.

I first saw Dr. Clements during the WLS surgery seminar that I attended at Vanderbilt. He led the discussion that day. My first impression was that he was a typical surgeon--in my opinion-they can be arrogant. However, my first office visit with him proved otherwise. He talked to me about the options and was very understanding when I became emotional. I felt that he treated me like a real person and not just a "fat" person. I was still nervous about him because I didn't know anyone else that he had operated on . My NUT explained that his OR nurses rave about his surgical technique---that made me feel better---I know that OR nurses are hard to impress. I ran into several people during support group and the waiting rooms that were patients. By the time that I had surgery, I had more faith in him. During my hospital stay, he was very attentive. I had no complications--not even nausea. He was insistent that I get up and walk after surgery. I now know that this was to allieve my discomfort. I was released after one night in the hospital. My recovery was very easy. The staff in his office were also great. The nutritionist and the insurance lady have been invaluable. At my first post-op appt, he was detained at the hospital and I was seen by his assistant. I was a little disappointed, but she was very easy to talk to and she answered all of my questions. I am very happy with the care I have received from him and the staff at Vanderbit Surgical Weight Loss Center.

Dr. CLements is a fantastic surgeon. the program he put together at Vanderbilt offers a n enormous amount of support and knowledge. His communication and manner are excellent! I ahve fired several doctors in the past for seemingly not to listen. Dr. Clements not only listens, but affords me as much time as I need on every visit with him. Everything is explained step by step, and the staff are always in sync. He is truly a class act and I feel privelaged to have him as my surgeon.

Dr. Clements was amazing. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. He was upfront about what was best for me, and the risks involved.

Dr. Clements has one of the best bed side manners a patient can ask for. He is kind, he listens, he gives you answers and breaks them down for you to understand, he and his team area always there for you, and he encourages you to reach your dream weight. Dr. Clements does ask a lot of his patients and that is one reason I chose him. He wants success for you but he can only take you so far, but what is so great is that he gives you so many tools at your fingertips that are just not his amazing team to make it work and for you to be successful. My husband and I were so comfortable with him and the practice. I would recommend Vanderbilt Surgical Weight Loss Center to anyone and especially Dr. Clements.

Dr. Clements is amazing, he made me totally at ease. He instilled a sense of confidence in me. He was the surgeon in a study of the effects of bariatric surgery on teenagers. This is important to me because I myself is a teenager. He and his staff are extremely courteous and kind, I felt comfortable around them and felt that I could be myself. He was frank and honest about how my life would change after surgery, he even warned me about finally receiving boys attention. He isn't scared to tell it like it is, he is wonderful. He takes time with you and is very considerate, he will take time to answer any and all questions you have and doesn't rush you.
