Doctor Hanan is simply the best. I feel like he takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns each time that I see him. I felt comfortable with him doing my surgery as I feel he is a very competent and caring individual. He is very down to earth type doctor and cuts right through the medical jargon to tell you what you need to know. He has done many of these surgeries and I believe to be an expert. He is making a different in peoples lives everyday with this lifesaving surgery.

Dr. Hanan doesnt have a structured aftercare program per se. I wouldnt be involved with it even if he did. He has follow up visits monthly and bi monthly as you are a little further out.

I LOVED THE WAY HE TOOK TIME TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS AND HE WAS A VERY PLEASANT GENTLEMAN. AFTER THE SURGERY HE CARED ABOUT MY PAIN CONTROL AND MADE SURE I HAB ENOUGH PAIN MEDICINE TO COVER THE PAIN. THERE WAS NO AFTERCARE PROGRAM.

I was very impressed with Dr. Hanan. He explained everything so well, including the risks involved. His staff was great and answered all my questions of them. In the hospital, Dr. Hanan had great bedside manners and I trusted everything he said. He explained what I was to eat when I went home and how and when I was to graduate to "real" food. His surgical competence is superior. When I went in for my two week visit, he answered all my questions and made be feel like I had made a good decision by having the surgery done.

Dr, Hanan is great, very caring and I just love him. His office staff are all great and very helpful. I give him a rating of 10.

On post-op vist he doesn't try to rush, he answers all questions and listens to what I have to say.

Dr. Hanan is the surgeon that my medical doctor referred me to. It took me Many Months to get an appointment. I checked out other doctors in my area during the wait. I applied to two doctors while I was waiting for an appointment. Both turned me down for surgery as too big a risk.

Finally one day I got a call from Dr. Hanan's office. I felt comfortable from the time I walked into his waiting room.

The first appointment was a "get to know him" appointment. I watched a video and met with Dr. Hanan for as long as I needed. The second appointment was for a physical. Dr. Hanan put me at ease and said I would benefit from VBG surgery. Dr. Hanan ONLY does VBG surgery, but is clear about his reasons. The doctor did not offer a Laproscopic proceedure. DR. HANAN SAID THE COST OF MY SURGERY WOULD BE ABOUT $10,000, doctor and hospital. THAT'S ABOUT 1/3 OF OTHER DOCTORS I CHECK OUT FOR SURGERY.

On my surgery day, Dr. Hanan wheeled me into the operating room. I was told my surgery went fine.

I just cant tell you how much I appreciate Dr. Hanan and his staff Peggy & Christina for their care & help they have given me through this ordeal. For over a year they fought with me to get this surgery approved and finally it got done... May 13th. Dr. Hanan obviously has been doing this type of surgery awhile and it shows, in his pre-op information, care while in the hospital and his after-care. If you want the best.. It's this team of professionals that you should talk to about your WLS surgery. If it can get done.. they can help get it done! They are beyond EXCELLENT!

I've been to see him 2 x's now and both times he has been very friendly and profesional. His staff is also very friendly. He hasn't mentioned any after care program so I'm not sure about that.

Nice guy! On our first visit he gave me as much time as I needed to discuss the surgery. He answered all of my questions. He only does the VBG surgery. He said that he had done other procedures in the past and that he has had fewer long term complications and just as good results with the VBG. I feel very comfortable talking with him.

Dr Hanan is a real pro, on the day of surgery he greeted me in the ready room and actually pushed my gurney into the operating room, talking with me the whole way. Wow now that was unexpected.

Dr. Hanan was very laid back and talked to me like a real person, not like a Doctor trying to let me know how many big words he knew. He was however very imformed and professional. He had the answers to all my questions, and there were plenty. The staff at his office were also very friendly and seemed to be very caring.
I recommended him to a friend of mine who will be seeing him for the first time in April. I told her she would like him, because he has a sense of humor and will make her feel at ease but still tell her all the pros and cons. He was very definite in telling me there are several ways to cheat and make the surgery less sucessful in the long run, and made sure I knew what my new responsibilities were to be. Both bed side manner and surgical competence are important, and Dr. Hanan had both. If there were anything I would have liked to have more of though it would have to have more information in print. Its so hard to remember all the information when you get it in large quantities. After I got home it would have been nice to read over all the information and lists of what to eat and not to eat, and what to do if I have a problem and general things like that. I found myself saying what am I suppose to do now.
Overall I had a very favorable experience, and would do it again in a minute if I had to make the decision again.
