Once again I do believe that Dr Dayhia was heaven sent.. He kind of just fell in my lap..Not only did he age with the Weight Loss Surgery progression but he actually was the chief resident to the first doctor that I had my initial Gastric Bypass with..What a small world.. Well Dr. Dayhia was great. The only reason why I gave him 7 stars instead of 10 was because of bedside manners & taking the time to actually listen to his patients,, I just felt like I had to blurt everything out before he got a chance to slip away.. And also even though technology is supposed to provide answers sometimes it isn't always right and that is when a Dr. should sit back and evaluate the situation and actually take the time to LISTEN to their patients. With that being done my hosptail stay could of been alot shorter verses almost 15 days, not incIuding the inital 3 you stay after the surgery. I do know that Dr. Dayhias' Coordinator Amelia is great. You could address any and all concerns that you have. She is always there to answer any of my questions..Even when they come to me after hours I can just send her a text and she responds almost immediately.... However I can say that when you are in his office he will address and concerns that you have. His staff is always on top of the ball.

This doctor is very straightforward up front. No gloss and a very bland bedside manor. He is a world class surgeon and comes with that aura. He states the facts and allows you to ask questions and answers, unlike some doctors I've met over the last couple of years. This is a surgeon that receives a lot of referrals so he is hard to reach but his staff is always available and answers all concerns. The staff is all ethnic and sometimes they don't \"get\" what you are asking but there are enough of them that you eventually get someone who can answer questions. His scheduling nurse is very responsive which is a good thing. After talking to a few other physicians in other specialties I come to find that he is one of the surgeons training other doctors in the RNY procedures so it helped me to feel more confident in his ability.

I've had nothing but good experiences with this surgeon and his staff. They have been there since day one. They helped with picking specialists and making my appointments. They even helped with filling out paperwork for me to be off work while I recover. Till now I have nothing bad to say about Dr.Dahiya or Dr.Kerr. Dr.Kerr has been excellent, I dealt with him mostly. My co-worker recomemded them to me and I am glad I went.

I didn't meet my sergeon until my last pre-op appointment, for about 1 minute. The staff was excellent and on the ball at every moment. I felt the staff was a direct reflection of the doctor and had the utmost faith and confidence. The old office is a little scarry, and the neighborhood is not that great, but I guess I would rather have a very qualified doctor and staff who at all times has my best interest and care at heart, than someone who has a 3 million dollar office who just treats me like another number and a checkbook. Bedside manner was great, came in and held my hand before surgery and assured me everything was going to go smooth. Dr. McColgan answered all my questions when doing rounds, and I am happy with the outcome. The post op diet seems very strict, many plans have protein shakes and bars, his NEVER?? I would rate overall 8 1/2 out of 10, and recommend him.

Dr. Dahiya and Dr. McColgan are very caring people. They don't pull any punches, and do everything necessary to make sure you are taken care of. They will not preform surgery until all the T's are crossed and the I's are dotted. Pre-op the office staff was rather cold, and made me feel like I was a bother. Post-op the staff seems much more personable, interested and helpful. Aftercare is mandatory, and there is a structured eating & vitamin plan to follow. Of the 3 support group meetings I have attended Dr. Dahiya has been at 2 of them. He mostly observed, but did offer input as necessary. The process took about 6 monthes from the time I walked in the door until I had surgery.

I liked my surgeon and nurses from day One.There is a close relationship with the staff and they are wonderful.Dr. Shyam provides understanding, hope, and problem solving skills, for you to move forward into a happily integrated post operative patient status. He gave me all the necessary information I needed to have the surgery. On a scale from 1-10.I would have to give him a 10.

I absolutley love both Dr. Dahiya and Dr McColgan. I woud recommend them to anyone. They both are so caring. I didn't care much on how strict they are about the diet. But I guess it is for a good reason. I give these doctors a 10!!!!

After meeting with Dr. Deutsch, for the initial consultation, my first impression was that he was very informative, and very thorough. He appeared to be friendly and caring as well. I met Dr. Dahiya for the 1st time at my final consult. He too is very friendly, and informative. he informed me that he would be the team member who will do my surgery.
