He was nice and had 400 surgeries under his belt, I needed the faith and his support he seemed a little rushed with me ,but it's ok

Dr. Dahiya is such a wonderful person as well as a wonderful staff he has. I have never been impressed with a Medical Staff like I was with Dr. Dahiya's team. I live in NM and they are in CA and Dr. Dahiya's coordinator is constantly in contact with me and always calls to check to see how I am doing and if I am eating right. I have recommended my Dr. to a lot of my friends and they are just waiting for there insurances to be approved. Dr. Dahiya and his team are the best in my book!!!!!

I liked Dr Dahiya and his associates. They were very helpful........................... No. It hasn't except they are closing their office in Garden Grove where I was operated on.
His staff was great, except Bridgette the director of the program is leaving today to go back to school. There after care is very good. They really emphasize it a lot. They have a structured aftercare program. They did address the risks of surgery. I would rate their group very high. Both are great. I am a little bummed because the support groups are going to be further away and will be very difficult for me to get to them. I am also upset because Bridgette is leaving. She was so wonderful. She spent 2 1/2 hours with me going over all of the things I needed to know about post op.

Dr. Mc Colgan seems a little bit more personable then Dr Dahiya, but they works as a team and both seem like really good surgeons from I can see and what I have heard from other people. Dr. Mc Colgan really takes his time to explain everything to you and makes you feel really comfortable.

I originally had Brian Quebbeman as my surgeon with a surgery date scheduled for 8/23/01. Well he cancelled my surgery 3 days prior to surgery telling me he no longer accepted my insurance. He was not a nice man. I don't recommend him. I learned so much about him from that point on i felt like it was a blessing. My new surgeons, Drs Dahiya and Stephen McColgan were AWESOME!!! I would totally recommend them. They were trained by Dr.Wittgrove out of San Diego. The office staff while a little disorganized at times is caring. The best thing i can say about these guys is they are very compassionate. They have a nurse at the hospital that is your liason with the hospital staff so you don't get lost in the crowd. The worst thing i can say is the hospital (St.Mary's) was very lacking and not a nice hospital. I would give my surgeons a total 10 rating, though.

My surgeon is with LBS, inc in Bellflower CA. There are two surgeons, Dahiya and McColgan. Both are certified with ABSA and have done over 50 of these Laparoscopically.
Their office has been very good in meeting my scheduling needs, but have not been especially informative to date. I am hoping that when I meet with them in two weeks or the presurg evaluation, they will be more forthcoming. The support group is headed by a nurse who had GBS 3 years ago.

Dr. Dahiya and Dr. McColgan work together as a team. I made a good connection with Dr. McColgan, which I consider to be "icing on the cake", so to speak.
They were both good about answering any questions I had. They were cooperative. I would highly recommend them. They do the procedure essentially the same way Dr. Whittgrove in San Diego does it. The procedure is done at St. Mary's in Long Beach, and they have a Bariatric Coordinator, Kay, that was very helpful making the experience less traumatic.
Thanks to Kay, McColgan, Dahiya, Renee, Gretel, Bonnie, and everyone else who are helping me achieve my goals.
