Actually the first and only time I met Dr Malley was at the orientation. He looked tired LOL. Seriously, I'm sure he had surgeries to perform that day and then the 2 hour commitment to the orientation. He should've been tired. He was very informative. His nurse/assistant was very informative also. When I went for my office visit I spoke with an assistant at the office who asked questions and told me what to expect, etc. The office staff seem very organized, empathetic and very friendly. I consider that very important.. feeling comfortable with the people I will be "working with".
Update: Looks like Dr Malley now has his own office and is no longer with MWIBS. I plan on "following" Dr Malley.
Dr. Malley seems very nice. Kinda shy. Very well informed on procedure, and relaxed in discussing it with him.
My oppinion of Dr. Malley hasn't changed. I believe he is very well informed and very precise. I have nothing but the best regaurds for his office staff! They are a great bunch of ladies that really make you feel more like a friend than a patient. Definately very careful to assert the importance of after care and follow up treatments. Before I had left the first consult, I had a surgery date and a post-op office visit date. Dr. malley also begins fills one month after your post-op visit. I was well informed on the risks of surgery. He really took the time to answer any questions I or my husband had on the procedure and aftercare. He even answered some of my questions before I asked them! I would highly recommend Dr. Malley and his team to anyone who is searching for a surgical answer to obesity. He's a top notch doc in my book!
Dr. Malley is the second Bariatric Surgeon that I have consulted for Lapband Surgery. I was not particularly impressed with the first doctor. When I first met Dr. Malley he seemed very withdrawn and quiet. However, the more I talked with him the more convinced I was that I wanted him to to the surgery. He is very caring and considerate. I also feel that he is a very good surgeon and believes completely in this process. I had surgery 7 days ago and I never experienced any pain.
Dr Malley is the best! He does only lap banding and has done well over 100 surgeries as of my surgery date 3/11/05. He is very pleasant and professional. I experienced absolutely NO PAIN. I highly recommend Dr Malley to anyone.
Dr. Malley is a quiet but caring man. I was impressed with his seminar presenting the options and information on the lap-band. He was very kind in the hospital and his staff has been very helpful post-op.
Dr. Malley's office has a support group that I find very helpful

I think I would give him a 10 out of 10 overall. I am very very pleased.
Surgical competence and bedside manner are both great.

My first impreesion of Dr Malley was at an informational seminar at his offices. He was somewhat quiet but was very friendly and open to all questions.
Since then I've had my inital consult and surgery. I couldn't be happier with his skill as a surgeon. He takes time to listen and answer all questions.
