My first impression of Dr. Glorsky was WOW. How wonderful is he. He made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. Over time, my impression of him only got better. He has answered all my questions in detail and has made follow-up calls to me. His staff is pretty incredible. I primarily deal with Helen and she is wonderful., and is always very sweet and kind. I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about Dr. G. Trust me I’m a had critic and have done an extensive background search on Dr. G. to see if there is anything, anything at all, that maybe he withheld from me, or maybe being 100% honest with me on, but there wasn’t. He told me the 100% truth, which for me that was very, very important. All future patients should know that if you choose Dr. Glorsky as your surgeon, you would get the best care possible. Not only is Dr. G. extremely experienced in bariatric surgery, but is also trained and experienced in critical care as well. Meaning that should there be any complications, HE knows how to take of you and you are not handed over to another Dr. because that is what they are trained in. Aftercare is very important to Dr. G. During my consult, we went over the aftercare schedule that would be required if I chose to have surgery with him. He also told me during that visit that if there is ever anything wrong or I’m feeling bad, to call him no matter what the time. Not the Dr. on call, but him. His priority is me… his patient. He also went on to say that most complication can be corrected, if treated in time which is why he strongly suggested that I call him should anything happen after surgery Dr. G. was very open and honest with me regarding the risks of surgery. In detail he went through the risks and told me how he would address each one should they arise. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Dr. G a 20. He has a wonderful beside manner and is extremely experienced in bariatric surgery. He talks to his patients as though he they are his family, not just someone who is going to pay him for doing a job. He took time with me to answer all of my questions one by one and in detail. Most importantly, he will not compromise the care of his patients….he is with them from beginning to end.
If you would like to know more detail about my visits with Dr. G. please feel free to email me at [email protected] .
Take care,
Michele

I had met Dr. Glorsky back in 2002 when he consulted with my then husband about his WLS. I liked him immediately when we met. He was not the surgeon who did my husbands surgery though. Then I came to ObesityHelp.com and was searching for a doctor for myself. I saw Dr. Glorsky's name and immediately contacted his office to set up an appointment. The next time I saw him was at his seminar which was a few days before my first appointment with him. He was a personable, intelligent, and professional as I had remembered. He was very informative and polite. At my first visit to his office he was warm, attentive, very friendly, and wanted to know how I felt about the surgery and if I had concerns. He wanted to assure me that he would be there for me before, during, and after my surgery 100%. He did not let me down. He has a very busy assistant, Helen, I really do not know how she does it all. The rest of the staff are very nice, also, but I mostly deal with Helen. There was one snafu concerning some of my tests and preregistration that the orders where never relayed to the hospital from the doctor before the day I came into the hospital to finish those procedures. The staff at 12 Oaks did everything I could to accomadate me and get the orders from Dr. Glorsky. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone who is contimplating or wanting to have WLS. He is wonderful. He is very much into aftercare and followup visits. He emphasizes the improtance of following the diet. He has organizd a post-op patient forum each month. This allows his patients to exchange ideas and discuss concerns. I knew the risks of surgery going into it very well since I had been through it with my now ex-husband (before, during, and after surgery). On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 beginning the highest) I rate him a 12. Surgical competance and bedside manner are very important and he displays both grandly.

Dr. Glorsky is quite knowledgeable, honest, and personable! He is a "breath of fresh air" in the medical world! He is cautious, thorough, and; best of all, kind. His office staff, though very busy, are always willing to help. They, too, are very kind. Dr. Glorsky takes time with you, errs on the side of caution and has only you in mind. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best M.D. on earth, Dr. G is DEFINITELY a 10!!! Thanks Dr. G !!! You're the best!!

When I frist met Dr Glorsky I was very impressed with his knowledge and concern.
I decicded to use him as my surgeon after attending one of his required pre-op siminars. I had my surgery June 1, 2004 and I am still impressed with his bed side manners, knowledege and concern for my wel- being.
Helen is a great help and very likeable person.
Dr. Glorsky and his staff is very concerned about care and has a well oranized program to help you learn all you need to be successful.
I would rate Dr. Glorsky and his staff a definite 10

Have been to his required seminar and enjoyed it very much. He seems very professional and caring towards this serious business of WLS. Have completed my consultation appointment with him. He is wonderful. Very personable, and family oriented. Can't tell you how much that meant to me and my hubby. Answered all my questions, and put me and my hubby at ease. I had about 4 pages of questions for him. He answered each and every one honestly and completely. He emphasizes aftercare and has a good program in place. He is the surgeon for me. On a scale from 1-10 he's an 11.

Dr. Glorsky,
Is one of the most wonderful doctor's I have ever been too. He is kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable. He at once realized how nervous I was and immediately answered all of my questions and concerns. He visited me everyday I was in the hospital and still keeps up with me on my progress even though I live in a different city.

Dr. Glorsky was very nice, took the time to talk to me and my husband, spent about an hour talking about the surgery. He came across a little egotistical(for lack of a better word), but isn't that what you want in a surgeon, someone who knows they are good and portrays themselves as one of the best. He explained the surgery and we talked about the risks. When I met with him I had not been to the lecture, but had already done a lot of research on him and the surgery, so I knew a lot of what to expect. He seems to be quite competent and his background with UT Medical makes me comfortable with my decision to use him as my surgeon, after all I am putting my life in his hands. Overall I am very pleased with my decision and will update on the progress regularly.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Glorsky. He's the best!! I'm so happy with my surgery and the way it turned out. I had no complcations and he was really good to me. Great bedside manner! I like his type of surgery Lap RNY and the fact that I did not have to have a drain tube. This may not be the case for everyone but it was for me. I didn't get to do aftercare with him because he went into private practice and wasn't set up for insurance. I decided to stay with the UT Group and Dr. Terry Scarborough and I'm happy with him also. I'm just glad it was Dr. Glorsky who did my surgery. Dr. Glorsky was very thorough about the details of the surgery and I always felt informed at all times.
