Starting from my consult with Robin to my follow ups, I have been in awe over the care and concern of all the medical professionals involved. Dr. Tersigni was an Angel from the beginning and I can't say enough about his Assistant, Alex. Just an amazing professional! As scared as I was, everything was in their hands and I had a complete calm from the beginning. Morning of the surgery, my husband was the wreck and needed the downer. I was excited and anxious. Dr. Tersigni and his Medical staff have been wonderful and I highly recommend them.

I've seen Dr. T. many times over the last 5 years for other medical surgeries and tests. He's quiet, reserved, but is an excellent surgeon with an impeccable surgical record. I know I'm in good hands.rnThe office is extremely efficient and the gals/guys who work there are friendly and kind, in addition to being former patients of WLS themselves (for the most part).rnI would like it if he'd chat a little more, but I know that's not his style, so I'll get over it!rnWe've discussed the after care and group meetings and I feel I can call on them at any time for questions and problems. We've all discussed the risks of this procedure and agree that it's medically necessary that I do this.rnI think Dr. T. and his staff afford me, and residents of this rural southern Oregon coast area, a very competent and kindhearted journey and I'm thrilled to be doing it with them. These procedures are certainly not for everyone and this is not the MAGIC PILL, so to speak. But, if you're medically compromised, as I am, it's my opinion that you consult a competent bariatric surgeon about the possibility of changing your life.

I met with Robin. She was great. Robin spoke to me and my husband about the lapband and the details. She took her time in explaining everything. She mentioned that she had the band done herself as well as 9 other family members of hers. WOW...They have all had success and are doing well. rnrnAfter Robin spoke with me, Dr. Tersigni came in and talked to us about some of the guidelines and so on. He mentioned a few things that could come from the band itself and that statistics of that. Other than that he was great. He did go over the risks and was very honest. Let me say this is one tall guy! rnrnrnrn

First impression of the doc is that he's very quiet and reserved. His exam was quick and very professional. He actually recommended I have the RNY, but I explained the reasons I wanted the band and he agreed with me. He definitely listens to what his clients want. The only thing I'd have wanted different is that I'd have a follow up appointment the next day with him to ask all the questions I needed. He did visit me after I woke up, but I was too groggy to think of any questions. Robin the nutritionist is the best! So are the other ladies I dealt with in his office. There is a very structured aftercare program including a diet, support group meetings, and fills. He addressed the risks of surgery very seriously, and I was definitely scared about what I was going into. I count that as a very good thing. Overall, I'd pick him again in a heartbeat. My scars are all in a line at my waist, I really like their placement and their size. He seems like a very caring man and expert surgeon.

I was so impressed the first time I walked into that office for my consult. I knew even before meeting the doctor that this was going to be my choice for a number of reasons:rnrn1. They actually answered the phone and answered my questions...didn't keep referring me to a presentation.rn2. There is a lovely picture of a surgeon praying before going into surgery, right at the front desk...very nice.rn3. All of the staff were super nice and down to earth.rnrnSo, when I met Dr Tersigni, I was relieved that he was just as pleasant as the rest of the staff. He explained everything that would happenbefore and after the surgery, and was open to answering any questions that my husband and I had. I actually felt comforted seeing him there after I woke up from the procedure. He seems like a very caring man, and he kept the incisions as small as he could...BONUS!

DR TERSIGNI seems very capable with a cool bedside manner. His office staff is great and very warm including his assistant Robin. I think that he is a little hard to reach and I personally am not sure what is on his mind when he speaks to me. Overall his practice is responsive and I was very impressed considering his practice is located in such a small community. He is very fast so if you are looking for a surgeon and would like things completed quickly than this is your surgeon even if you have to travel. Bay Area Hospital is also great with biger patients and the experience was also very capable and warm.
