My first impression, one on one, with Dr. Chua was that he was a calm quiet and friendly Dr. He answered questions that I asked and I felt comfortable with him. My very first meeting of him was at his seminar. My husband and I liked him right away. I do recommend that you have lots of questions to ask when you meet with him. I felt that the overall program was quite good. My daughter had Dr. Wallace and there is a difference in programs. Although I was very content with Dr. Chua's program and staff, Dr. Wallace's program seems to be more thorough. Dr. Chua is an excellent surgeon and has a very good bedside manner. Overall, I have been totally content.
So far, I've only met Dr. Chua at the Info Session I went to in May '08. The office staff at the clinic though is AMAZING! They've been very helpful and have followed up with me every single time they've received info from me. I going for my consult on the 29th of September...I'll be able to report more then. However, everyone I have met that went to Dr. Chua for their surgery has been very impressed with his skill and thoroughness with his patients. I can't wait to be able to say the same from the loser's bench!
Dr. Chua is a very caring individual. I saw him at the informational meeting and actually didn't meet him until the day of my surgery. I met with Dr. Valladares for my consult and felt comfortable with him also. The office staff was trying to speed up the process for surgery for me so I met with Dr. Valladares but I wish I could met with Dr. Chua. I would highly recommend Dr. Chua and his office staff.rnrnTammy is the sweetest!
I first made Dr. Chua at an orientation. He was very informative. One thing that stood out was, he said he has never lost a patient. I was pretty much sold.
Well respected and very skilled. Good bedside manner. Soft spoken with a very caring attitude. Office staff is very helpful and skilled. rnHe covered everything with me in the pre-op state.
I can not think of one bad experience that I had through out the entire surgery process. I feel as if I truly owe my life to Dr. Chua and his staff. They are friendly, and always helpful. The aftercare program is excellent and very encouraging. They really keep you motivated to keep losing!

Dr. Chua and his staff are wonderful. They have made me feel good about myself and the whole process from the beginning. I have not at any point felt like the \"fat person\". They are always available if i need any thing. I would highly recommend them.
Dr. Chua is a wonderful and caring individual. He took the time to explane everything and addressed concerns and questions that I had. The office was great, friendly and welling to help with any questions and they were very helpful and up beat. When concern about post op recovery they were quick to get answers from physician and follow up with my care.
