Virginia Weaver Bariatric Surgeon

Dr. Weaver is a great surgeon..I've had no problems with my band...
The Office staff sucks...can never get in for a fill (which takes about 5 minutes) without having to wait 3 or so weeks...Once at the office, expect a nice wait in the waiting room while there isn't anyone else being seen...
Speak up or you'll be sitting there for quite awhile...

My first impression is that I trusted her! There was a time in my life that I just did not want to hurt anymore and I could not find the answer. She is a gife from god! I had no pain I went back to work early and everyone of her staff was very perfessonals. I was 496 pounds went I had the surgery I have lost almost 300 pounds and i feel great. Thanks Doc.

Love her and her staff! Very professional and very knowledgeable. They have the process down to a science. They understand what needs to be done and do it. Everyone is very responsive to your needs from nutritional questions, insurance issues, medical clearances to FMLA papers, you name it! My wait time to get into surgery was longer than expected as she has many patients. She recently has brought on a partner in the practice.

Dr. Weaver didn't do my Lap-Band surgery, but I wish she had, and I'm glad I have her for my follow-up care. She is compassionate and smart, never hurries through an appointment, answers all my questions, and directs a bariatric program that combines surgical excellence with thorough patient education and aftercare.

Dr. Weaver's office is so helpful. They want you to succeed and they offer every kind of help imaginable to ensure you do. WLS support groups once a month, Emotional support group twice a month, nutrition, exercise, what ever you need - they provide!
Dr. Weaver is a caring doctor and her passion is helping people with their obesity. She is a woman of God and praises Him for allowing her to be able to help people get healthy and happy!!

My experience with Dr.Weaver and her staff was great. Dr. Weaver explained the surgery in detail, she had a group setting with us and she told us all the risks of the surgery. The Nutritional Program is great as well. You have to go to two classes before having the surgery. In those classes they inform you of what supplements you have to take for the rest of your life, what to order when you start back going to restaurants, and what your diet should look from day to day. After my surgery she came and spoke with me while I was in the hospital just as if I was a member of her own family. The Nutritionist has been very helpful because I call her just about every week with a question and she always calls back. Dr. Weaver really cares about her patients. I would recommend Dr. Weaver to anyone that wants to have Bariatric Surgery.

I only have great things to say about Dr. Weaver and her entire staff. They have all been wonderful from the start. Yes, even when you call them daily sometimes more. I have had no problems with any of my tests or appointments. Everything has been right on target. They even call me if I am slacking on some paperwork. They submitted my paperwork to insurance and got me approved in like 5 days! I will keep you posted.

My first impression of Dr. Weaver was that she was very compassionate.. Her Office staff is very understanding and reassuring. Aftercare is very much emphasized for great success. They offer support groups every 2nd Thursday of the month and then a Licensed Psychologist with that group has support groups every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month and all support groups are FREE.
Dr. Weaver had a group session with about 7-8 people and discussed all of the risks and benefits of surgery with the group and then she met with each patient individually to discuss any concerns or questions that individual patient might have. I would Rate Dr. Weaver and her office staff as a 10..I believe surgical competence and bedside manner are very important, but if I had to choose which was more important I would definately choose surgical competence, however, I believe that a good bedside manner could affect how a person would follow-up with that MD.
