I had been forwarned about Dr. O, before I ever met him. So I had a great impression of him. His office staff was great I really liked Cathy and Madeline alot because those were the 2 that I allways seemed to talk with. Any future patients need to know that if you are looking for someone to Sugar coat things for you HE WON'T he addresses the risk very well and explains the procedure he feels is best for you. I believe his surgical competence speaks for itself for me he does not need a good bedside manner I don't have one either.

Dr. Overcash was really great. from reading other reviews that talked about bad bedside manner I warned my mother that he might not be very nice. We both left the office saying he was so nice. My Father was with me who really didn't know anything about the surgery, but was there to support me. Dr. Overcash took the time to explain bariatric surgery 101 to him with a smile. He was talkative, funny and extremely knowledgeable. He had an office full of patients and I never felt rushed. He would have taken another 40 min. with us if I needed it.rnrnHis staff is all nice. It is crazy how he gets you and weighs you. Since I'm out of state he stressed the follow-up. He gave me his cell and email. He was very honest about risks without completely freaking you out.rnrnI think he prefers gastric bypass before vertical sleeve, but he still felt like it is a good decision. I got 6 holes instead of 5 because I had a lot of fat around my stomach, but so far so good.rnrnI have heard and he did say that he is really strict about the weight loss, but that's okay too. I'd give him a 10.

Just met him once and he seemed very forthcoming and personable. I liked that he seemed to speak directly to me. The office staff was TERRIFIC! I have to say, even after reading the posts on here about how he definitly makes you realize the chance of complications, it kind of freaked me out a bit as he stressed it all. Then again, I'm aware of the risk and they are a possibility.rnLook forward to saying good things AFTER surgery :)

Dr. Overcash was exactly what I needed at this stage in my journey. He understands that the \"tool\" is only as good as the person whom uses it. My tool 'RNY' did great for 3.5 years and I lost sight of the compliance issues that I needed to follow. I chose Dr. Overcash because he was point-blank honest, I appreciate his no-BS view on bariatric surgery. He gave me the information I needed to make a decision for me. Don't let his demeanor fool you he is very soft hearted towards persons of size BUT don't expect him to place the blame on anyone but you for being overweight. He puts the responsibility for success back to where it should be - on \"us\" as patients. Dr. Overcash is an awesome surgeon.

Dr. Overcash has been blessed as a surgeon and I thank God that he sent me to him. He did a good job in explaining everything to me and afterwards, I had a problem (gas) and he was caring and concerned about my well being. I recommend him to everyone, I heard his bed side manor his not great but I found it to be ok.rn

I met Dr Overcash at the Pre-op and I must say I love his candid attitude. He keeps it real, doesn't sugar coat. He did ask me if I was married or had kids, since I am single without kids, he skipped the death speech on that. He made me aware of the mortality rates and which procedure he was going to perform on me. I feel very comfortable with him and I look forward to my surgery. rn****Post-Op: I must say I am so glad that I had Dr. Overcash! He is so on point, he keeps it real and to the point. I love this about him. He made me feel so comfortable with him. He came by before surgery and the day after to make sure I was ok and came by the morning of discharge. I was running a slight fever, so he told me if my temperature gets to 102 on Christmas day I better call him immediately. I really appreciated that. He is a straight forward guy, but I love it. Thanks Dr. O! He is great surgeon and that is what matters the most to me!

I had my first meeting with Dr Overcash on February the 5th. He met me in the lobby and took me back to the exam room to speak to me in detail about the procedure and the benefits and risk of surgery. He was very pleasant and friendly to me. He has come highly recommended to me and that is why I have chosen him as my Dr. I have heard he is the best here in FL and that is what I am looking for. Patrice the insurance cordinator that I have so much about was not there on this date, and I do not feel like I got the best info from the person that spoke to me, but enough info to get me going on my quest.
