I had my Gastric Sleeve done on 08/02/2016 by Dr. Cabrera--my BMI was on the low end which made me relieved when Dr. Cabrera gave the approval. When you are 4'10", every pound is like "times 5" compared to a taller person. I am down 20 pounds now. Being a Gastroenterology Nurse for almost 30 years I did a lot of research. I was very pleased with the entire staff, care was great and most of all I was not nervous after meeting Dr. Cabrera. His bedside manners was great and reassuring plus his support Physician staff was the best. As others have said- only wish I would have done this earlier instead of doing Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem. I am very happy now and embrace the new life changes.

My surgery was March 2015 and it was the best thing I have ever done! Dr Cabrera was wonderful and I have had no complications. Now 1.5 yrs later and 140# lighter, my only regret is not doing this earlier in my life (Age 55 now).

I think the best referral I can give is that I have recommend Dr. Cabrera to my family and friends.

Honestly best decision I've ever made. The bedside manner of these amazing physicians is so much better than an us Dr I've been to. I will need a revision as I was bad and went back to old habits. I will be doing the next year and no other option but to go back to my Dr be was amazing.

He was a very good surgeon and attentive

I had my sleeve surgery with Dr. Cabrera on May 29, 2015. He was very kind and attentive. He answered all of the questions I had both before and after the surgery. My niece had surgery with him the same day as me and we are both doing great and have had no complications. My doctor was impressed the incisions and how quickly they healed.
I am very impressed with the care and attention you receive both from Dr. Cabrera and the whole MBC Staff http://www.mexicobariatriccenter.com/ We have since had two other family members go to Dr. Cabrera. In the states the surgery was going to cost me over $18,000. I had it done for $4,300. If you are thinking about it, go with MBC and Dr. Cabrera. You'll only be sad you didn't have it done sooner.

I had my surgery done on Tuesday June 10, 2014 with Dr. Ismael Cabrera. Everything went good and I was up and walking around later that day. We went through the Mexico Bariatric Center and had the surgery done in Tijuana. My sister and niece had theirs done with him the same day. We were all very pleased.

Dr. Cabrera and his team were kind and patient, made me feel at ease. I was sleeved at INT Hospital in Tijuana with the Mexico Bariatric Center. Their care is excellent and thorough; they provide meds and a dvd of your leak test, all included. You also spend two nights in hospital and then two nights in a hotel, all included. My coordinator, Cindy, was fantastic and answered all of my questions; she also provided excellent documentation. Support from their nutritionist, Laura, is also included and she is very timely in answering her email. Strongly recommend!

I was sleeved March 4, 2014 and I must say it went great. I am so happy that I chose Dr Cabrera! He was very down to earth and has a great bed side manner, he was attentive and caring. I could not imagine using anyone else . <3

So incredibly happy! I had my sleeve done Feb 28 2015. Dr. Cabrera was amazing. His bedside manner was professional but very friendly and caring. Same with his visit after the procedure. I felt comfortable asking him anything I wanted to know. I will recommend him to anyone considering surgery. Amazing experience.
