Judy Chen Bariatric Surgeon MD

Judy Chen, M.D., is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to each of her patients while treating them with compassion and respect. Her clinical interests include advanced minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery and laparoscopic weight management surgery. Dr Chen was trained in using a minimally invasive surgical approach to provide the highest level of patient satisfaction and care. She is also committed to building a bond between surgeon and patient, so patients are empowered to make fully informed decisions about each step of the surgical process. She attended Medical School at Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, her Residency at Boston University Medical Center and her Fellowship was at Harvard/Brigham & Women’s Advanced Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Fellowship. Dr Chen is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is an ASBS Center of Excellence qualified surgeon. Her personal interests include a love for cooking, eating, kayaking and skiing. But most of all, she loves spending time with her husband and taking her nieces and nephews to fun Seattle sites. She was born in Hawaii, but she grew up in Seattle so is very happy to be back in the beautiful Northwest.
