I had gastric sleeve surgery with Dr Rodolfo Wilhelmy june 2013 and I have lost 120 lbs in a year ! I couldn't be happier with my results. The care I recieved while there at Almater hospital is the best I have ever had. I now go to Almater for all my medical needs and my family's too. Dr Wilhelmy is compassionate and competent. I recommend him to everyone that asks how I lost so much weight!
I have gone back for my twice for checkups for my sleeve and have received the same attention I got initially.

My experience with having the gastric sleeve with Dr. Wilhelmy has been excellent! My quality of life has improved greatly as well as my social life and my self esteem.

I had my surgery 5 months ago and I have lost 61 lbs! I feel great! I can eat very small portions and my body has been adjusting to not eating the huge amounts of food I was eating before surgery which has made my life better.

Best Surgical Experience EVER. I found Mexicali Bariatric Center through 2 of my friends that had surgery there before I did and looked really really good. I scheduled my surgery and heard about the tragedy just a few short days before my surgery date. I immediately called my friends to ask for advice. I explained what had happened and what the plan for my new surgeon was. Neither of them had heard the news about Dr. Aceves yet, I hated to give them the bad news.
They both assured me that Mexicali Bariatrics was still the best place to have my sleeve. They did not hesitate a minute! They had both been there on separate occasions and were confident that the rest of the medical team along with the "new" dr would do an excellent job. They were right! Dr Wilhelmy is not new at all, he has been at Almater hospital doing WLS for more than 10 years and had worked with Dr. Aceves on several occasions. The entire experience was like non I have ever had in the US. Doctors visiting me 2-3 times a day at least, the nurses were very attentive, the hospital is the cleanest I have ever seen and sadly I work in a medical related area and have visited many hospitals here.
I live close enough that I will go back for my 3 month check up . Thank you Dr. Wilhelmi, Dr Campos, Yolanda, Nina, Ernesto and everyone who helped me along the way.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Wilhemy and his team. My experiences at the Mexicali Baratric Center where by far the best medical experience I have had. The doctors spent time with me, the hospital is spotless and the nursing staff very responsive.
