This hospital was not the norm! All the nurses doctors and general staff were sweet as can be. They were very informative and keept me happy the entire time I was there. Even the Head nurse checked in on me several times just becasuse. =0) The hospital was clean and accomidated all my family!! lol they broughtin chairs from every where even though we hadn't asked them. I have to say that I was suprized at the level of hospitality there. But I am very happy they were so nice. I will go back any time I need medical service. I really appriciated the treatment I recieved there. Hope you do to.

Brookwood staff is very nice. Anything that I need they were right on top of things.. Motivated me to get up out of the bed and walk.. Constantly asked is there anything that I need.

Excellent staff, very caring. They were open to suggestions/comments and really wanted to make my stay a pleasant one. If I needed something - it was there in a very short time.

I did not have any negitive experience with Brookwood. Their plan to accomadate WLS and the things that go with the surgery are first class. I would be surprised if there is a better hospital and staff to see one through such a difficult surgery.

They have just added a bariatric unit there and they are really trying to make it the best in Birmingham. They are very concern and very organized. Ellen the had of Bariatrics comes to see you before you have surgery (and the week before you meet her and have tour of the unit you will be staying on) Ellen also is there everyday while you are in the hospital to make sure you have your pain medication, taking the test you need to take, someone to help you get up and walk around and she is there just to make sure you are as comfortable as you need to be. I have only great things to say about Brookwood. If you are looking for a place to go and have this procedure this is the place to go in Birmingham.
