Dr. Mailapur has been awsome to work with during this process. I decided in May of 2006 that I wanted to pursue having the Roux en Y surgery and attended Dr. Mailapur's seminar for more information. From the first time I shook his hand I knew he would be my surgeon of choice. He has been very thorough in explaining every detail of the surgery, and in answering every question my wife and I had. His care has been nothing short of perfect and I would do it all again today. I am just over 2 weeks post-op as of this writing and could not feel better about my decision...not only to have the surgery, but to have chosen such a wonderful surgeon. Thank you Dr. Mailapur for giving me my life back. I will be forever grateful.

I was very impressed with Dr. Suggs and his entire staff at Parkway Medical Center.rnrnI had no complications, everything went as planned, I'm so thankful for that!rnrnNow I must say after my surgery, the attending nurses at night were a little less than stellar, but that has nothing to do with Dr.Suggs, I know. I was just in alot of pain and I was very uncomfortable, and it took forever to get any one to come when I called. I know pain can make one extra irritable and I was not a happy camper!rnrnBut on a positive note, the program director and the nutritionist both came by to wish me well and I wasn't expecting that, it was nice to see them and know that they were there for support.rnrnAfter I got home I was having some major nausea and Dr. Suggs was great about taking my calls and talking to me about my problems, he has a great bedside manner.rnrnI highly recommend him!

AWESOME was my first impression of Dr. Suggs. He is very concerned and has a passion for his patients. He makes you aware of the risk involved and keeps you informed of what you need to do to have a safe recovery after your surgery. The 6 month program is completely on track, (I am going into my 5th month, YEA). I have learned so much from the seminaries and group meetings. I have lots more to learn, but feel very confident that I will be well taken care of. I had checked with a couple of other Doc's before him, and did not have the secure feeling that I have with him and his staff. Darlene, his program coordinator, and Rosie his dietician are great also. I have not had my surgery yet, but I feel the surgical competence, the bedside manner and the security I will feel, will make my choice the right one. My group friends that have been through this have had nothing but GREAT things to say, as well as my experience so far. I will keep you informed, you keep me in your prayers.

My first impression of Dr. Mailapur was when I attended a seminar of his last month concerning RNY... he was very knowledgable, seemed very kind and caring, and was very patient with questions and tried intently to answer them.rnrnMy impression has improved. At my last and only visit with him - he remained caring, knowledgable and kind. I am glad that he is my surgeon.rnrnHis staff is awesome too... they are kind and sweet. They have been super willing to help each time I have called.rnrnThere is nothing for the 'what youliked least' catagory!rnrnAt the risk of repeating myself LOL - He is knowledgable, kind and caring. My circumstance are unusual and he has taken the extra effort to research issues involved.rnrnI have only been to his office once and we have not yet discussed after care... but in his seminar, he explicity expressed the importance of it... and the fact that it is for a lifetime.rnrnYes.rnrnHe has explained in great detail the risks of my surgery in general.rnrnOn a scale of 1 - 10, thus far he sores a perfect 10!rnrnBoth are great & I'm fully confident that Dr. Mailapur is efficient in both!

Dr. Mailapur was very professional and has a great bedside manner. Even though this was a difficult decision his knowledge and understanding made me comfortable throughout the entire process. I would recommend him to anyone considering this operation.

I was very impressed with Dr. Foreman. He is very straight forward and wants to make sure you understand all of the aspects of the surgery.

I am very pleased with my progress and very happy with my doctor and his staff. If I have any problems or questions all I have to do is call and ask and they are happy to help in anyway. I would recommend him to anyone who is wanting to have gastric by=pass.

Dr. Mailapur was recomended to me by my endrochronoligist. The firstexperience I had was in a 1 hour seminar he gave on weight loss surgery. At that time he struck me as not only very professional, but also as someone who genuinely cared about the people he was trying to help. His presentation was very through in both the pros and cons. rnTo be completely honest, in visits to his office i actually saw very little of Dr Mailapur himself, however, that being said, his staff is amazing!!! I wish I could express how wonderful his staff truly is. They not only were very professional but they truly cared about making me comfortable with my experience. They explained everything in detail and tried to make sure i understood everything completely, and to anyone going into this type of procedure, that is vital!!! rnOne thing people should understand is that Dr Mailapur does not \"pull any punches\" unlike so many other Dr.'s that i've delt with through the years, he dosent tiptoe around unpleasant truths. To me this is a major plus, to some people that may bother them, however if it does, they need to rethink having any weight loss surgery! As of one week post surgery, I can honestly say, I am not only happy I took the step in doing this surgery, but i am thrilled that I have Dr. Mailapur and his wonderful staff there to help me. rnI think some ppl may take something I said in here as a critisism of Dr. Maliapur, when I commented that I saw very little of him at the office visits, that was far from a complaint, rather it was a compliment to his wonderful staff! No Dr. can do everything, and obviously it would be impossible for any one person to give every patient all the information needed, never mind all the support. Dr. Maliapur is doing a wonderful job both as a surgeon and as a part of the support system!
