Grandview Hospital (COE) Hospital

My DH could not stay with me the first night becuse I had a room mate. That is when I needed him the most. My night nurses were very responsive to my needs. "Thanks so much Richard you were a saint!"
Parking was fee based but all my guests got parking passes and no one had to pay. Maybe because they were paving?
Got no help using the restroom (other than getting to it) and no help with my sponge bath and new gown. Not fun!

Nurses all except the first one during my stay and the last one of my stay were good. The first one didnt believe that i was in pain cause i was sleeping, well thats because the morphine pump kept knocking me out, but when i woke up i was back in pain. The last one took at least an hour both times i requested pain meds, I can only hope one day shes lying in a bed in pain waiting on a nurse. She did the same thing to my roomate, made him wait over an hour. All the other nurses/aides were excellent and quick to respond!!!!!!

Grandview in my opinion is in serious need of more and better nurses and aides. The first 2 days were terrible I was there 5 days. I felt like they were going to let me die. I have sleep apnea and they didn't do anything about it except put me on oxygen. THEY WOULD NOT LET MY HUSBAND STAY WITH ME. They let me go 24+ hours with no pain medication. They never even offered it to me. They never washed my butt. The nurses would turn my TV channels to what shows they liked to watch. It was a really bad experience. RN stick herself with a needle that she stuck me with so I had to have an HIV test. I could go on and on about their UNPROFESSIONALISM.
