The staff were wonderful. After I came out of surgery, I was very hot. One of the nurses took time to go and find an oscillating fan and bring it to my room. The staff take really good care of the patients and keep the room doors closed for privacy.

Aside from No privacy and nurses saying they'll be right back and not returning for a hour half the hospital stay went pretty well. I can honestly say thay the turn over rate there is HUGE! I was there 3 days and had 5 different nurse aids all because the previous girl had quit.

I could not stand the Respiratory Therapist from the hot room.

I was fortunate enough to have a WONDERFUL nurse, Roy Agulair. He was very understanding, competent and kind. He spoke to me when I became scared and attended to my needs promptly. Everyone should have a nurse like Roy!

THE NURSING STAFF WAS HORRIBLE AND ALL BUT REFUSED TO HELP ME WITHOUT ME HAVING TO CALL AN OUTSIDE PERSON TO GET ON THEM I"LL NEVER RETURN THERE

No chairs or bathroom facilities for oversize. I had to use porta-potty as it was the only thing big enough, it was adequate. The chairs provided were not even comfortable for guests.

I received excellent care at Healthsouth. 98% of the staff were terrific. I had a small problem getting pain relief my last day and the respiratory tech I had the first night post-op wasn't very nice. My only complaint is the blood pressure cuffs. For some reason they pumped things up so tight I thought my arms was going to break off and shoot across the room. I'm serious, I have bruises from the cuff.

The staff was real nice to me and my friends. My frieds were allowed to stay in my room while I was in surgery instead of having to wait in a "waiting room". I was well cared for and if I pushed the nurse button, someone was there prompt.

Nice people, but they are either very short-staffed or they are not sensitive to gastric bypass patients.
