Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) Hospital

I've been in better hospitals. The private rooms are very small, and very plain. There isn't much room for more than two visitors at a time and the furniture is a tight fit in the alloted space. The hallways can be noisy and the nurses tend to leave the room doors ajar or wide open. At night, it is noisy, busy, and nearly impossible to sleep. Response is rather slow, if something is needed.

This hospital has had a problem with staph infections in the past and they are obviously working very hard to leave that in the past.

If I had a choice to have surgery done at JCMH or somewhere newer, cleaner, and better, I'd choose to go elsewhere. The redeeming quallity of this hospital is that it is on our insurance plan and it is close to our home.

The nurses were very helpful and they made my stay very pleasant.

I will always go to JCMC if given the option. In my opinion it is the best equipped and staffed around

I had the room across from the nurses station, and the noise was absolutely horrible. I could not sleep for the slamming and banging around, nurses laughing and talking, the phone at the nurses' station ringing, etc.

the nursing staff was fantastic. they answered my calls very quickly, were well trained and treated me like a friend.

I would recommed this hospital to anyone needing to have WLS sugery or any other sugery.

I was treated very well. I cannot say enough good things about my nurses. I wanted for nothing.

In seven days my room was only cleaned once. I asked for assistance with a bath and two CNA's came in and wiped off my face and arms and left. It took me four hours of begging to get my medicine for nausea. I was not at all satisfied with the staff at the hospital. I also got a staph infection while there.

I cannot possibly say enough positive things about the hospital and staff. The facility was excellent and the staff was unbelievably compassionate and caring.

I was treated with much care and concern. I had a male nurse that was the best. There was a lady on night shift that was also very good.
