METHODIST HOSPITAL Hospital
I had an excellent hospital stay, with AMAZING staff! Nothing bad to say. The only negative aspect of the experience was my room. I shared a room with an elderly woman who was suffering from Cancer. Her family was there (quite the crowd...and rightfully so). They were loud and it was hard to rest. I also ended up knowing MUCH more about her situation and care than I needed to. When her doctors came to talk to her was when I usually decided to take a walk. She deserved and needed to have a private room.
The only complaint I have is that Lifetime was not available on the tv so I missed a couple of my favorite programs. One of the night nurses was a little short with me one night, but I mentioned this to the day nurse. When the same night nurse was on duty the next night, she was much more compassionate and helpful - I would give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she was overworked the first night. Overall, my experience at Methodist Hospital was positive.
I enjoyed my stay at this hospital (as much as one can actually "enjoy" being a patient in a hospital, that is). I felt very safe and well-monitored. The staff was very responsive to my needs. Each day I had a nurse and a cpa to take care of me, one pair for the day shift and one pair for the night shift; some of these staff were just average (no complaints, but no compliments either), but some of the staff were simply wonderful. I was also fortunate to have a private room, which was excellent, with a beautiful view of mid-town and eastern Omaha.
