Dr. Keith program was just OK. My surgery went fine but it seem his practice is focused more on making money than on helping his pt. I only met with him once and the rest of my visit was with his PA Winter. I even requested to have Dr. Keith and was denied. There was also issues with billing. I was being charged for services that were covered under the global period. Overall I would rate his practice as just OK. The office is nice and new and there is a lab on site for blood work. Also everyone had nice personalities.

CAREFUL! I was referred to Dr. Keith's bariatric surgery seminar by my primary care physician. I went to the seminar, filled out all of the paperwork along with a copy of my insurance card and a week later was scheduled for my first consultation appointment with Dr. Keith. My first impression was that he is himself an obese man and I thought a weight loss surgeon would "practice what he preached." He did not seem too concerned with me or the surgery as much as how to get the insurance to pay for it because I am right on the border of meeting the insurance requirements. I was then sent for a list of laboratory blood work and two weeks later received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company stating that the lab work was almost a thousand dollars and I was denied for any coverage. I called Dr. Keith's office and was told that the insurance had told them that bariatric surgery was covered under my policy and that it was the insurance company's fault for mis-informing them. She told me (and I quote) "Sorry there was nothing I could do to help you. Good luck with that". So now I didn't get the surgery and am stuck with a bill that I can not afford to pay.

My first impression was that he was not very friendly but after a couple of visits it changed and he was very informative and easy to talk to..His office staff is very caring and helpful. He is very strict on following up with your appointments and attending support group meetings......

I have to say that my experience with Dr. Keith and all of his staff has been great. I had to have an Umbilical Hernia repair done in March prior to my RNY and was treated wonderfully before and after that procedure so it left no doubt in my mind that I was going to be treated well w/ the RNY. I saw Dr. Keith twice before my RNY surgery and twice after in the hospital and I also saw Winter as well and she is the one I did see today at my follow up visit. I really like both of them because there are no holds barred w/ either of them. They don't beat around the bush and just give you the facts whether you like hearing it or not and I appreciate that. I've always had both of them answer any and all questions I have even though they may seem trivial. Would I do it again, you bet and I'm just at the beginning of this journey. I highly recommend Dr. Keith, Winter and the whole Oklahoma Weight Loss Options team.

Dr. Kieth and Dr. Winter P.A where the best from pre-op tell post-op. I have called them after hours and one of them have called right back. I had some problems after the gastric by-pass because I throught that I was smarter than DR. Kieth but i foung out I was'nt. You don't find a doctor that will call you at home after hours to check on you. Dr Kieth called ever night or Dr. Winter called. That was for a week. If your Dr. does that I would like to know. I looked far and close and studied alot of Dr. and Dr. Kieth was the best I could find. I think he is up around 3000 surgeries to date thats a great number. I think lord everday that I found Dr.Kieth and Dr.Winter. Think ya,ll for all ya,ll did for me and still are doing. If someone can top what they have do for me, I would like to who it was. I'm off all blood pressure ans diab. meds. I had my surgery Apr. 19,2010 and have lost 100 pounds so far and still going. If you are look for a great doc. Dr. Kieth is the person to look in to.

Overall very happy with my experience. The hallways were bright and clean with new flooring. The private rooms are also great. The ac wasn't working very well so we were really hot but they gave me a fan and moved us to a much better room when it became available. Also, nurse aid didn't automatically take my temperature as I thought she should, I had to ask. Her response,"We only have one on the floor so I'll try to find it" Hopefully they plan to invest in some more soon.

I really liked Dr. Keith when I met him at my initial consultation. His nutritionists and insurance cordinator was also very nice and helpful. My only complaint is with his PA, Winter. When I went for my preop appointment I saw her instead of him. After surgery, I saw Dr. Keith briefly but the PA came and saw me most days. At my one week follow-up, once again, no doctor, just the PA, I believe PAs have a place but I really think I should be able to see the actual surgeon. I will call ahead for my 4 week appointment and demand to see him not her. She is young, inexperienced and in a hurry, not willing to take much time to answer questions. Not very compassionate. Their surgical technique seems to be great, I have had no real problems and am healing well. Also like their support groups.

I'm very happy with my choice of Dr Nelson. She is very down to earth and never rushed. She always had time to talk and I dont feel like she is talking above my head. I'm amazed at how many people she see's that she can remember the smallest detail and things we talked about in the past.rnrnThe office staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I have never called the office and not recieved a call back the very same day, usually within a small time window.rnrnDr Nelson is very good on aftercare. She is very interested in how you are doing, what you are eating and your excerise program. She can be strick but that's good, you know you will have to answer to someone so that keeps you accountable.
