This place was wonderful--start to finish. The ICU staff was so special, and very kind to me. They were so happy to help make me comfortable. They were also very supportive and willing to contact the doctor to ask him any questions I had. As an added bonus, they were fabulous to my family, especially the night shift. My mother and sister stayed throughout the night, and they have a wonderfully comfortable waiting room with new furniture. The nurses worked hard to keep things quiet so that everyone could get some rest. Best of all, it seemed everyone else in the ICU had had gastric bypass too. It was a wonderful hospital experience -- and I HATE hospitals!

It's not a new facility, it's not fancy, and it's not in the best part of town, but I would definitely go back there.

I really enjoyed my stay there. All of the nurses knew what I needed when I needed it.

At first I was optimistic about this hospital beliving that it was better equipped to handle issue of large patients. But this was not the case. Ex..bathrooms not equipped with hand rails to help in standing or to support us.

HCH is not an impressive looking place, but I felt the care was good and at NO TIME did I feel the staff were looking down their nose at me for having WLS
