It wasn't bad or good. Just average. Alot has to do with the way I was feeling too . . .overall everyone was friendly . .kind . . .and considerate. I just wanted out and in my own home!

Shands Hospital is an excellent source for medical care. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who is going to have surgery or just want another opinion. In my opinion if the staff at Shands doesn't know what is wrong with you then no one else could. They are the experts in their fields!!!!!

Too many nurses with less than 2 years of experience, unable to perform basic nursing skills like starting an IV. My IV was a problem and infiltrated several times leaving me without access to pain medication for hours at a time because the neophytes on the floor couldn't start it and the hospital supervisor was too busy with emergencies to come help me. Frequently I was given a regular size gown and had to almost beg for one large enough to fit me. I'm still trying to get my bill corrected more than 3 months after discharge.
