The staff at South Miami is very understanding about the whole Bybass surgery. They were able to answer all my questions and concerns. I felt super safe at all times.

As usual I found the nurses to be understaffed for the amount and demands of the patients on their floor.

The staff in the bariatric unit of South Miami Hospital is very helpful and very knowledgable in the needs of immediate post-op bariatric patients. There is a bariatric coordinator at the hospital who is available and makes regular "rounds" with the patients to make sure they understand the post-op diet and regime, give them information and flyers for support group meetings and post-op care instructions. It's a very positive experience.

When I had the surgery everything was excellent, ICU was the best. However I did have to go back for 5 more days and it was like they had changed nurses and the second time the experience wasn't as pleasant as the first one.

I feel that the employees there are just there for their paychecks and not to help people because they were rude and I would call them and they would take upto 10 minutes to come to my room.
