Southcrest Hospital Hospital

On March 17, 2004, I fell out of my hospital bed. I called the nurses desk and told them "I need help getting back into my bed." They said OK and no one ever came. I managed to crawl back into my bed and then I called again and said, "I managed to get back into my bed by myself but I think someone should come and check. I think I need my binder on if I am going to be moving around this much. They replied, "OK." No one ever came. Later that afternoon my regular nurse, Diane came in and I told her. When she checked, they said that they only received the 2nd call saying I had made it into my bed by myself. There was no incident report written to my knowledge. This was very scarey and it happened at a time when none of my family was available. I called my Mother and my husband and they go there as soon as they could.

Day nursing staff, was horriable!! I was in during the week of Christmas, so maybe that is why it was low staffed. I waited over two hours to have a nurse come to sit me up, to try to walk. Was only after the doctor, came in and then called nursing staff did they finally come. In the four days there, no Nurse even offered to help me with bathing, finally last day there, I just did it myself, after I waited more than an hour for someone to come. Now night staff, your LUCKIE IF YOU GET STEVE!!! HE WAS THE BEST OF ALL THE NURSING STAFF!!
