The gastric bypass department is wonderful and is there to hold your hand. It just seems the nursing staff needs to be improved.

The staff was tremendously supportive and friendly. ICU was wonderful and pre-op was also wonderful. I wish I had a list of names of everyone whom I encountered.

The staff was not very personable or helpful. Acted like you were bothering them when you needed something. I just can't say enough how old and dirty it looked. But, thankfully I made it out of there alive!

I was impressed with the staff and how well everything went while I was there. The staff is very professional and caring.

I would tell anyone that Southpointe Hospital is a good place to have WLS. The staff that deals with bariatric patients is knowledgeable and caring. They were responsive to all my needs and my mother was able to stay in my room as well, which helped ease my stay considerably.

Horrible nursing staff. If my mother would not have been there, I would not have been taken care of.

Well, the only problem I had was with the nurses - they were kind of dumb. I mean, they did a good job, but they all looked at me like I was weird when I asked for something.
