I was in ICU for the first two days, was only supposed to be 1 but there was no room on the post-op floor. My first nurse Carrie was great. Followed by a nurse by the name of John Meyers (he is a traveling nurse so they said there wasn't much they could do and there was no one to really complain to--WHATEVER!!!)Told me to just calm myself--it can't be that bad after he had given me benadryl to stop the itching from the epidural--did I mention I AM ALLERGIC TO BENEDRYL!!! Ya, 30 staples major surgery and itching myself raw--but it wasn't THAT bad!!! The nurses on the post-op floor have been GREAT--Kim was the best, right on top of everything. The respitory gals were awesome--woke me up, upon my request, so I could get all the breathing treatments in so I can go home early. The phlebotomy people were very kind also, seemed very apologetic. "This is gonna hurt" for most finger sticks, etc. SO INREVIEW:
ICU-I'd give them a C- Post-op floor A+++++
