Sutter General Hospital Hospital

From the moment I entered the hospital's doors and was greeted by the woman at Patient Check-In, I was treated as a guest, rather than a number. I had expected to be handled with "cool professionalism", but instead, always felt that every RN and CNA took a personal interest in me. The nurse in pre-op was so gentle and gracious... she made me comfortable and was encouraging and excited for me. When she noted that Dr Chu was my anesthesiologist, she told me that he was the best in town and I know that his tremendous skills had much to do with my remarkable recovery.
The nurses assigned to me after surgery all treated me like a friend... I feel so grateful for every one of them. I cannot praise the medical staff I encountered highly enough.

I was a very "upbeat" patient - no complaining. I think this may have worked against me sometimes, because you know what they say about the "squeaky wheel". I think I was forgotten sometimes when I asked for insignificant things like a refill of water. But when the only thing you can have is water, it's important!!
