University of Minnesota Fairveiw (COE) Hospital

I didn't have a problem with the hospital itself, but had a horrible experience with many of the nurses I had. I had never been in the hospital before and my biggest fear was having a 'mean' nurse and I had a very horrible nurse on one shift and my main day nurse was very unfriendly and I really like the warm fuzzy type of nurse and only had one nurse that fit that description the entire time I was there and I loved her. I still get upset when I think about my hospital stay, it was not pleasant.

The hospital was clean and most of the staff were very kind. There was one female nurse that was kind crabby and wanted things done her way only. But there was a nurse named Jim who was a GODSEND to me. He was truly an angel and he knew his stuff. I had the D/S and the staff wernt quite up on the post-op diet for the d/s but overall care was great. The nurse Jim made a big difference in my stay

As in any hospital setting the quality of care varies per individual
I found Fairview needs to update their employees more to keep consistancy in the treatment of this type of surgery.
There were some nurses/aides that should wear halo's and then there were some that should not be in the profession they are in.
