what a difference six months can make
Today is my six-month surgiversary, and I am bursting with joy and pride. I never imagined that I would look and feel this good just six months out. I have a bit farther to go, but even if I didn't lose another pound, I'd be happy.
Here's how my life has changed:
- I can walk, run, hike, climb stairs and ride a bike
- I can sit with my knees crossed, or on the floor with my legs crossed
- I can keep up with my granddaughter!
- I no longer use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea, so we are going camping again
- my BMI is down from 48 (morbidly obese) to 30 (obese - but moderately overweight is just around the corner!)
- I am down 72 pounds since surgery, and 112 pounds since my referral
- I have just one chin, bony shoulders, hipbones and a waist
- My size 28/4X clothes are just a distant memory; today I'm wearing size 12 and 14, and I LOOK GOOOOOOD!
Thanks to everyone on OH who helped - I have no illusions that I could have done this on my own. And keep the faith, all of you who are waiting.
