Referrals

My dear friend Shelly is thinking about having this surgery (RNY) and my question is...Should her Dr. send the referral to the bariatric clinic such as I did...or have things changed since I started this journey over a year ago?  I thought I read that things have changed...but I'm unsure as what to tell her.

I just started this journey myself so I can answer this one..lol    She has to get a doctor to fill out the paper work and fax it . The number is on the bottom of the paper on where she needs to fax it to.    http://www.bariatricregistry.ca/   that's the web site.  hope this helps

As posted by Rachael, it goes to the bariatric registry.  Tell her to follow up with the registry to make sure it is received and then follow up with the centre that it is asigned to just to make sure she doesn't get lost in the shuffle like some of the other people have mentioned has happened to them.
