Is it odd that I am not feeling nervous or anxious about this surgery? I'm going to be losing up to 80% of my stomach, and yet I feel very content about the whole process.

Hi, I felt the same way, I think because it had taken so long to get to surgery, and I knew it was what I wanted.

How far up north and which assessment centre were you referred to? How was the process? Much luck and prayers on your upcoming surgery!

Actually, Gailupnorth is my angel...

But we are both in Huntsville. Gail already had her surgery. We were both referred to HRRH. I am not sure about Gails timelines, but I have been 5 months referral to surgery and the staff at HRRH has been wonderful.

Thanks everyone. I am all packed and ready to go. Only need to do a bit of shopping this afternoon to stock the fridge with some fat free milk for my carnation shakes, and some more water.
