Hi Michelle,

I only lost 9 lbs on opti...so you are doing a good job!

You probably weighed in with too much fluids in your system.   and it's good to weigh in at the same time of day each time.

After my surgery, the first 2 weeks I dropped 25 lbs.  Now it's going about 2 lbs or so a week.

God Bless

From what I have seen, many hit a 'stall' around three weeks, pretty normal I think. enlightened

Totally normal. This isn't a 'stall' so much as your body freaking out about the manor surgery you just had.

I was slow losing at first and worked myself into a state. "I knew I'd always be fat" "I Knew good things weren't meant for me" "I can't even make this surgery work" and so forth.

But if you do everything you're supposed to, it'll come off. Now is not the time to panic about pounds coming off. I wish I could go  back in time and spend the time relaxing and recovering rather than obsessively weighing myself and counting the pounds gone.

Same for me - in my third week and no change in scale since last Sunday - however not stressing as I feel better and I am down a size in my jeans.

It's not a plateau or a stall.  Plateaus and stalls are when you don't lose for at least 3 weeks.  You will have times that you don't lose weekly so don't fret  I record my weight weekly but look at the bigger picture of month over month.  I know that the weight can fluctuate throughout the month but as long as from one month to the next it's down that is all that matters.  Your body is just hanging onto everything as it's not sure what is going on.  You may continue to lose inches and not pounds then all of a sudden have a huge drop.

Not to worry; in my entire 2nd month I only lost 7lbs. It's really dropping now in my 3rd month though.

Hi Michelle.

My scales stopped moving at 2 weeks...for 2 weeks. Then again at 4 weeks for a week and half. It happens, your body realizes its starving itself and puts on the brakes. It will pass. Keep the water up and keep moving. Its frustrating, but I promise the scale will move.
