So, I never have allowed many pictures of myself. However, the other day I was lamenting to my husband that I can't see a difference even after losing over 100 pounds. He thought I was crazy and pulled out this picture he took of me with my son last summer. I took this selfie a couple days ago. I can see the difference now! It does show!

Kathryn, it's so interesting how we can't always see the change in ourselves, but it's so obvious to others. You look so sassy in the second! I'm sure you're feeling stronger and healthier as well, congratulations!

I was just saying to my husband that in my mind I think I will always (at least partly) identify myself as the 255lb 5ft 2inch woman. Part of me does not want to let that version of me "go"...even though I love the freedom and weightless of the RNY...I feel like I am betraying my true self some how. This is definitely a complicated journey we are on!

You don't even look like the same person! I had to have my husband take pictures for me to see a difference too. I still sometimes feel like a fat person pretending to be thin at almost two years out. Congratulations!
