My PCP is happy.

I love my PCP. I've been seeing her for years. She prescribed every oral med. to control Type2 because she knew I wouldn't be compliant if she put me on insulin. She signed off on lapband when I thought it would help. She was onboard with me seeking revision to RNY.

I went to see her today for an issue I've been having. She walked in the room and had the biggest smile. She looked through her charts and told me this is the least I've weighed since I've been her patient. I weighed 250 today.

She told me that she knows it is work. I told her about exercising and logging what I eat (thanks Grimm).

It feels good to know that it's working and my health is improving.

Thanks for all of the help.

When I saw my endocrinologist 6 months after surgery, she was absolutely giddy! It beats the heck out of doctors talking to you like they were saying we only had six months to live.

Keep going, you're doing great!

I love going to the doctor now because I don't have to get a lecture about my weight or be afraid to step on the scale.

It's freeing to not have that worry. My favorite doctor comment though, was when my cardiologist asked me where I'd been hiding that skinny Lady! Now I only have to see him every two years--a lot better than every three months. Keep up your hard work because it's so worth It! And thanks for sharing your victory and journey with us.

I'm so happy for you!

I saw my PCP 6 weeks after my RNY, and he was sooooo happy. I thought he was going to start jumping up and down at one point.
