Hi Friends! How are you all? Things are good here! Its supposed to get Sunny and warm up here this week, high 30s to low 40s, hey its not warm but its not minus and crazy windchill's.

Accountability: ate exactly what I planned. I indulged at the Pot Luck and it was great. Back on plan today

QOTD: Do you bundle your mobile phone/internet/cable to one provider and if you do are you happy with them? Here in Ontario there is NOT a huge selection of providers, nothing like you guys in the US. But the provider we are with is called "Rogers," we have been with them for over 20 years. I consider them pretty expensive and the service is excellent. For the last month we have been having internet issues with them and we are not too happy and we keep hoping they will resolve it soon.

Time since surgery: 4yrs + 3 months

B: 2 PP for creamer in my decaf coffee

L: bell peppers, goat cheese, cranberries, pumpkin seeds as a "salad"

S: mini carrots & 2 baby bel cheese

D: Skyr yogurt with SF jam

S: Snack pack vanilla pudding

TOTALS: 906 calories 92 protein, 59 carbs

V: patches are on

E: 5k run at the gym and leg night (leg press, abductors inner, abductors outer, ham string curl, calf raises, weighted glute leg exercise

Have a great day everyone! Sing your favorite 80's Rock Song today to yourself, mine will be "What about Love" by Heart

NOTE: Photo Friday will be Photos of "Before & Afters." Get your pics ready!

Up early doing laundry before we start our workday here at camp. Hubby and I are at Uskichitto Retreat Center in LaBlanc,Louisiana. There is sort of internet so hope I can get this posted. Accountability has been great and weight is down to 118.4 today. We've been cutting and dragging brush and small trees for the last two days then we come back to the camper and eat supper and then Lily and I walk for an hour. That's the last thing I want to do after a hard day but she is my buddy and needs her exercise too. The camp is beautiful and there are tons of places for us to walk. Its a miracle to me that I'm able to do this--it would have been impossible 6 years ago before surgery. This surgery has changed my life in so many incredible ways! I'm thankful every single day. Food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli ham and cheese with mustard 3 dill pickles D 31/2 oz ribeye 1/2 c green beans S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added strawberry jam. Have a great day all and make some smart and conscious choices that head you closer towards your goals! Pics to follow of camp and one of three piles of brush we've cleared. There are three other retired couples and a single retired widow. Hubby and I are next to the youngest at 58. The youngest are a couple from North Carolina who are 56.

We have a couple of families at our church who si missions work like this. One group belongs to Campers on Mission, I think that's the name and the other family helps build new churches. They go in when the bldg is dried in and fini**** up. Seems like rewarding work.

Good morning menu folks!

I have a confession to make...I've had a fling with some doughnuts. It's been lonely and I've been bored here at home recovering from surgery. I've been good about eating plenty of protein, but I've also been walking to the Dunkin Donuts and getting a doughnut and coffee alot of days. It is a nice walk and it feels like such a nice treat to myself. I've decided though that it is time to break it off. I need to get back on plan and kick the doughnuts to the curb. As of today, no more doughnuts.

I'm also struggling with feeling really tired. I have a couple of days that I feel good and feel like doing things. For instance yesterday it was sunny and not too cold (windy though) and after I signed out of telework, I went outside and picked up branches from our yard that have blown down in all of the wind. I just worked for half any hour, but it was alot of bending up and down that wore out my recovering abdomen. No bleeding, but lots of aching and I am really tired today. I am also doing about 6-7 hours of telework a day and the sitting up is amazingly tiring. I have to make myself lay down and rest every couple of hours. Sigh! I'm ready to feel all better!

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, cashews, cantaloupe, 1 oz turkey breast

Lunch: TJ's chicken sausages, broccoli slaw

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple, almonds

Dinner: shrimp, cauliflower

Exercise: 3-4 mile walk
