Cleanning out my pantry?

Am I jumping the gun? I do not have a surgery date yet or an insurance approval. I am doing all of my pre op testing now and will be finished with my 6 month doctor supervisied diet July 1..

But I am so excited. I want to clean out my pantry of all the food I will not be able to eat (almost everything).  Is it too early? Also my freezer?

Oh I live alone so I don't feed anyone buy myself....

I don't want to go sleeveless anymore!!!!!!!!

I LOVE your enthusiasm!  I think cleaning out is a great idea! Make room for all the healthy new stuff!

I have done the same thing too. I have a section that needs to get used up before my husband deploys, but the only thing I am replacing stuff with is better options for after surgery. I have changed what I eat before. I think of it as a life change from this point forward now that I made this decision. Good luck.

When I cleaned out my pantry, I tossed soups with expiration dates of 2007 ! Cleaning is Never a bad idea !!!

I don't think it is ever too early to start a new healthier lifestyle!  Donate the pantry items to a local food pantry that gives them to families in need.  :)

Good luck!

Something interesting that happened to me after surgery, I became something of a "food hoarder."  My pantry is overstuffed, much more than it ever was before, with things I can eat now - little applesauce cups, soups, cans of tomatoes, beans, tuna, shrimp, chicken, SF pudding cups, Crystal Lite, protein bars, nuts, NSA fruit, etc etc.  You may need the room after your surgery!

Seems like getting rid of unhealthy foods is a good thing - regardless of the timing! Never too early to start better habits!
