The waiting has been hard, but it goes FAST! I made a list of all the projects I wanted to do/finish before surgery, and time has FLOWN by.

I'm having surgery in 5 days *eep*

Does your surgeon have a cancellation list? You could always ask to be put on it, who knows, you could get moved up!

Well that's awesome that you have a date!!! WOO HOO! I get really impatient too. I started this over a year ago and it seems like a long time. Even though I am really impatient I keep thinking that this is more time that I can really focus on making the gym a daily habit, and trying to eat the right way to prep for surgery. Easier said than done though!

I don't have my date yet, so yes, definitely better than no date!

Hi I'm Diana! I'm 5'10 and hoping to get down to 165 :) Feel free to friend me!

Happy you got a day.  I waited along time from approval to surgery because I am a teacher and needed to wait for summer.  Plus, my surgeon wanted me to lose 50 pounds first which required some time.  I set my date as 6-13-11.  And I made it.  Lost the 50 and happily sleeved, now.

i used the time to set some pre surgery goals. Practice eating healthy. (Cut out carbs, high protein, cut out coffee  and carb sodas.)  I did not do it perfectly. but I sorta practiced to see how I would be able to handle the restrictions that were coming.  Also gathered a support system, read a lot of books.  It's your journey make it up as you go if you like. . . Best of Lucky!
