How can I be stalled and still need new pants?

I have been stalled for about a month now. The scale has been stuck at 190... But I've gone from a size 18, xl shirt to a 14 Jean and large shirt this past month. How is that possible?

Are you exercising lots?  A pound of fat takes up 5x as much room as a pound of muscle.  Not really stalling, just not seeing the scale move even though great things are happening.  Good luck!

Search "Yes, you will stall!"  in the search box.  It's a very informative post about stalling.

It seems that it happens no matter what surgery you get and it's posted on several of the boards.

That's the good thing about stalls...you do tend to lose inches when the scale is barely moving. It's great, enjoy it!

I know that having WLS makes us all slaves to the scale...but in reality, it's how we look and how we feel, not a specific number on the scale that really counts. Although I had hoped, deep down I never expected to make it to goal (140). I am now 134-136. Even the brief time in high school when I was 120 lbs, I had never been in anything smaller than a size 10. Now my 10's are a little baggy and I do have several 8's and a 6. It's a very exciting ride...enjoy it!

I wouldn't call this a real stall. You have lost. Therefore you are not stalled, you just haven't lost on the scale, you have lost what really counts and that is the inches. Congratulations. It shows how hard you are working.
