I had trouble drinking normally until 4 or 5 months after surgery.  Don't worry about it, just sip for now and it will get a little bit easier every week.

It was a slow process, but by around 4 weeks out, I could drink a good clip. I can't suck down a whole bottle all at once, but I can finish one in 5-10 minutes flat. Just take a few big gulps, wait a minute, take some more, etc etc

I feel like something is wrong with me for the oppposite reason. I am a few days shy of 2 weeks out and yet I can ge****er and liquids really down with no problem. It's funny how everyone is different and we are worried for the opposite reasons.

I didn't have any problem drinking the day after surgery.  I could drink 8 ounces in 10 minutes just a few days out.  My doc said I must not have had any swelling.

Happy, this statement makes me so excited. I was getting really nervous that maybe I could for sure over eat my sleeve and that this wasn't going to work for me. But, based on your success, I feel much more hopeful.
